When you see the newest movie that everyone is raving about or go see your favourite musician perform live, you don't often consider what may have happened behind the scenes during the production of the work. But trust us when we say that there is drama in the world beyond the flashing lights!
Christian Bale has discussed playing the off-screen position of "mediator" between co-star Amy Adams and director David O. Russell during the filming of "American Hustle." Bale explained to GQ Magazine that his ability to step in and diffuse tense situations is just part of who he is. "say something along the lines of, "Hey, let's go sit down and figure that out." There must be a way to make everything work."

In 2016, E! News reported that Adams, who has previously discussed how she frequently cries on set because of Russell, said that she was "really sad on set." She continued, "Life is more important to me than movies." It truly helped me learn how to keep work and home distinct.

Despite the disagreements, Adams and Russell were still complimented by Bale as "two such amazing minds," adding, "When you're working with individuals of the insane creative talent of Amy or of David, there are going to be upsets."
