Mr. The Rock Dwayne Throughout his entertainment career, Johnson has had a variety of positions. He began his career as a pro wrestling legend, evolved into a worldwide movie star, and even found time to co-own a football league, among other businesses. Could a power figure in pro wrestling's shadows be the next role he assumes?
Johnson was questioned by Bloomberg about maybe accepting a director role with WWE. And Johnson didn't respond with a yes or a no, either. He acknowledged that it had been brought up on several occasions.
Johnson, referring to his tequila line, said, "[WWE co-CEO] Nick [Khan] and I have talked about that, and we always enjoy it over a bottle of Teremana." "I adore the wrestling industry. I was raised there. My father's family began in Canada, where he was born, along with my grandfather. I therefore am not entirely certain that I will hold a board position in the future, but I am certain that other things will happen."
It should be noted that Johnson and Khan are good friends. Khan's sister, Nahnatchka Khan, is a co-creator of the NBC series "Young Rock," which is based on Johnson when he was younger and during the beginning of his wrestling career.
A WWE official wasn't immediately available to comment on whether the firm would consider a buyout, according to Bloomberg, who mentioned this in the piece.
Johnson's next move in wrestling is widely believed to take place in the ring. The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns is speculated to face the legendary wrestler at WrestleMania 39 in the spring of 2017, however Johnson has declined to confirm whether or not the bout with his cousin will take place.
