The Idea of You on Prime Video will feature Nicholas Galitzine opposite Anne Hathaway.

In "The Idea of You," an Amazon Prime Video original movie, Academy Award winner Anne Hathaway plays a divorced mother who begins a passionate relationship with a pop artist she meets while attending a music festival with her daughter. The actor who will play her on-screen desire has finally been cast.

Nicholas Galitzine will portray Hayes Campbell, the 24-year-old lead singer of August Moon, the "hottest boy band on the globe," who Robinne Lee's successful first book's readers have suspected was influenced by Harry Styles.

The movie centres on Anne Hathaway's Sophie, who comes to her ex-husband Dan's rescue after he cancels their 15-year-old daughter's Coachella trip. Dan left her for a younger woman. When Sophie (Galitzine) chooses to brave the throngs and desert heat to bring her kid to the music festival, the 40-year-life old's starts to really heat up.
The British actor is quickly establishing himself as a go-to sex object after starring opposite Sofia Carson in the Netflix love story "Purple Hearts" and portraying the "Prince Charming" (otherwise known as Prince Robert) to Camila Cabello's Cinderella in Prime Video's 2021 retelling of the traditional fairy tale. Galitzine will next appear in the highly anticipated gay rom-com "Red, White & Royal Blue" on the streaming service. The actor plays Prince Henry, the second-in-line British monarch, who begins an improbable whirlwind relationship with Alex Claremont-Diaz, the son of the American president, in the movie adaptation of Casey McQuiston's best-selling book (Taylor Zakhar Perez).

He also appeared in "The Craft: Legacy" by Zoe Lister-Jones, as well as "Chambers" on Netflix, "Share" by A24, "Handsome Devil," "The Beat Beneath My Feet," "The Changeover," and "The Watcher in the Woods."

Michael Showalter ("The Big Sick," "The Eyes of Tammy Faye," "The Dropout") will direct "The Idea of You" from a script written by Jennifer Westfeldt, who will also executive produce. Producing the Amazon Original film alongside Gabrielle Union (under her I'll Have Another banner), Anne Hathaway (under her Somewhere Pictures banner), Lee, Eric Hayes, Showalter, and Jordana Mollick is Oscar winner Cathy Shulman (under her Welle Entertainment label). Kian Gass from I'll Have Another will also serve as executive producer.
