The Heartbreaking Title Kelly Preston Received From John Travolta In His Touching Birthday Tribute

The marriage of John Travolta and Kelly Preston, who were one of Hollywood's most well-known couples, lasted for almost 30 years. Famously, they fell in love and got married in 1991 after meeting in 1987 while filming their first joint picture, "The Experts." She was previously married to fellow actor Kevin Gage, so they obviously didn't hook up right away, but as Preston subsequently said, she was "truly with the wrong person."

Eventually, Travolta and Preston developed a passionate love for one another, gave birth to three children (one of whom unfortunately passed away in 2009 at the age of 17), and spent 29 years together. "You have given me hope when I have felt lost, loved me patiently and unconditionally... made me laugh harder than any other human being possible... experienced the most exquisite highs and at times lows," Preston said in a dedication to him on what would be their final wedding anniversary.

Preston, unfortunately, passed away from breast cancer in 2020 at the age of 57. And now, Travolta has paid a moving homage to his late wife Preston in honour of what would have been her 60th birthday.
Travolta, John Calls Kelly Preston, his favourite dance partner and late wife
On October 13, which would have been Kelly Preston's 60th birthday, John Travolta paid tribute to his late wife on Instagram, calling her "my favourite dance partner" in reference to their well-known scene in their first film, "The Experts," in which they engaged in a protracted and steamy dance session. Wishing my favourite dance partner a happy birthday! wrote Travolta. "Kelly, you are loved and missed,"
Of course, Travolta is well-known for dancing in other movies, such as "Saturday Night Fever," "Staying Alive," and "Pulp Fiction," and he hasn't shied away from flaunting his skills even when he's not in character, such as at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival or with Princess Diana in 1985.

There's little doubt that he enjoyed dancing while they had the chance, too, with his wife. In 2015, the two even performed dance moves for Preston's 53rd birthday celebration in New York.
