Suzuka Ohgo (, Hepburn: go Suzuka, born 5 August 1993) is a Japanese actress.
Biography
Ohgo was born in the Kanagawa town of Zama. She began acting when she was seven years old and later joined Sunflower (Himawari), a theatre troupe. She made her company debut in Story of a National Thief at the Meiji-za.
In early 2005, Ohgo made her feature film debut in Kita No Zeronen (, a.k.a. Year One in the North), directed by Isao Yukisada and starring Ken Watanabe as Tae Komatsubara. She made her Hollywood debut in December 2005 with Rob Marshall's Memoirs of a Geisha, in which she played Sakamoto Chiyo, the child version of the main protagonist Nitta Sayuri (the adult version is played by Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi). She also received the Japan Film Critics Award for Best Newcomer the same year.
Ohgo also appeared in the 2006 film Baruto no Gakuen (, a.k.a. Symphony of Joy), which was released in June 2006 and is set during World War I, in which she portrays a girl of mixed German-Japanese ancestry hoping to find her German father, who may be imprisoned there.
In 2008, she began voicing Hana (AKA "Hatchin") in the anime Michiko to Hatchin. In Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box, she also played Kaita.
She was employed for CATARMAN till 2013.
