Sun Fanqing (Chinese: ; born May 23, 1998) is a Chinese actress, model, and singer better known as Song Zu'er (Chinese: ). She made her television debut as a child actress in the 2005 series The Sea and Sky Boundless, and she has since appeared in Novoland: Eagle Flag (2019), Guardians of the Ancient Oath (2020), The Bond (2021), To Fly with You (2021), Cupid's Kitchen (2022), and Legally Romance. (2022).
Early years
Song Zu'er was born Sun Fanqing in Tianjin, China on May 23, 1998. Song studied in the United States for two years and is known as "Lareina" in English.
After finishing third in the National Higher Education Entrance Examination, Song was admitted to the Beijing Film Academy in 2018.
Beginnings of a Career as a Child Actress
Song's acting career began in 2005 with a supporting role in the drama The Sea and Sky Boundless. She then went on to star in several dramas, most notably as Nezha in the 2009 television series Prelude of Lotus Lantern.
Return to the stage
Song returned to acting in 2016 with the comedy film Papa, co-starring with Xia Yu. Song rose to prominence after appearing on the variety show Divas Hit the Road in 2017. The same year, Song appeared as a supporting character in the youth drama Boy Hood, alongside TFBoys.
Song starred in the fantasy historical drama The Dark Lord as well as the comedy web series Gossip High in 2018. She received positive feedback for her acting and line delivery.
Song appeared in the fantasy epic drama Novoland: Eagle Flag in 2019. She was cast in the romance comedy drama Cupid's Kitchen the same year. Song was named to Forbes China's 30 Under 30 Asia 2019 list, which included 30 influential people under the age of 30 who have made a significant impact in their fields.
Song made her first appearance in CCTV's New Year's Gala in 2020, performing the skit Airport Sisters. She appeared in the fantasy historical drama Guardians of the Ancient Oath the same year.
She joined the main cast of the Novoland: Eagle Flag series on July 16, the same year, where she played the brilliant young Yu Ran, the Princess of the Winged Tribe, until the series ended on September 2, the same year.
In 2021, she will appear as Qiao Simei, one of the Qiao family's sisters, in the television series The Bond.
On November 22, 2021, she joined the main cast of the series To Fly With You as Shen Zheng Yi, a speed skating enthusiast who joins a sports club behind her mother's back.
In 2022, she will join the main cast of the Cupid's Kitchen series as Lin Kesong, a novice chef who seeks advice from master chef Jiang Qianfan (Ethan Juan) in order to prepare for a culinary competition.
On February 7, she will appear as Li Na in the television series Pride and Prejudice ().
