Smriti Kalra is a model and actress from India. She made her Zee TV debut as Simmi in 12/24 Karol Bagh. She rose to prominence as the title character in Channel V's Suvreen Guggal - Topper of the Year. She was also seen as Ahana in the StarPlus drama Dil Sambhal Jaa Zara. Her debut film, Cash, is now available on Disney Hotstar.
Career
She made her acting debut in the film 12/24 Karol Bagh, as Simmi. In 2012, she starred in the show Suvreen Guggal - Topper of the Year as Suvreen, a college girl. In 2014, she starred as Neha in the critically praised Sony TV program Itti Si Khushi. This episode was about a 26-year-old lady who had the thinking and behavior of a 16-year-old due to memory loss. She co-hosted the fifth season of Zing TV's Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya with Parth Samthaan in 2015. In 2017, she worked on the short film Cup of Tea, which was selected and nominated for over 72 international film festivals and won numerous awards, including the second best short film award at the EduDoc International Short Film Competition and was an official selection for the 20th International Children Film Festival India 2017.
In 2017, she co-starred with Sanjay Kapoor in Dil Sambhal Jaa Zara, a television series about modern-day romance.
She co-directed the award-winning short film Ambu in 2019, in which she played both a guy and a woman.The short was among the ten top 48 Hour short Project films to compete at Filmapalooza 2019 in Orlando.
In 2020, she appeared in the short film Unlocked: The Stranger, the first in a series of five short films written and directed by Abhijit Das during the COVID-19 lockdown.
