Saiyad Sana Khan (born August 21, 1988) is a businesswoman and former actress from India. She primarily worked in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu films.

Khan began her career as a model and has since been in commercials, feature films, and television shows. She has appeared in over 50 commercials and 14 films in 5 languages. She appeared as a finalist on the reality show Bigg Boss 6 in 2012. She declared her retirement from the film industry in 2020.

Early years

Sana Khan was born in Mumbai and reared there. (Dharavi). Her father is a Malayali Muslim from Kannur, Kerala, and her mother is a Mumbai native.

Career Films

Sana Khan made her acting debut in the adult Hindi film Yehi Hai High Society in 2005. She afterwards began appearing in television commercials and other advertisements.

Silambattam, Khan's debut Tamil film, was released in December 2008 by Lakshmi Movie Makers. Silambarasan, the film's lead actor, had earlier signed and then dropped her for a role in his film Kettavan, but after watching her ad with Shah Rukh Khan, he called her again for the female lead role in Silambattam. "Silambarasan came to Mumbai looking for a fresh face for his film Silambattam," she stated in an interview with The Hindu. He saw me and chose me there. "I knew I had to work hard to break into the Tamil film industry." Khan considers the picture to be her first break. Khan made his Kannada film debut in May 2011 with Golden Movies' Kool...Sakkath Hot Maga. Her next Tamil film, Aayiram Vilakku, was released in September 2011, in which she played a Madurai girl. Khan played a waitress in a tavern in the March 2012 Telugu film Mr. Nookayya, bringing flair to the film. Climax (2013 film), largely inspired on the Hindi film The Dirty Picture, was Khan's Malayalam film debut, in which she played South Indian actress Silk Smitha. Thalaivan, Khan's sixth Tamil film, will be produced by Blue Ocean Pictures.

In the Bollywood film Jai Ho, which was released on January 24, 2014, Khan plays the daughter of the major antagonist, Danny Denzongpa. She starred in Wajah Tum Ho alongside Sharman Joshi and Gurmeet Choudhary. The film bombed at the Box Office in India. Her daring sequences in the film with Gurmeet and Rajneesh Duggal sparked significant discussion after the teaser was uploaded on YouTube. Khan made a cameo appearance in Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, where she played Akshay Kumar's girlfriend. Her next film is Tom, Dick, and Harry 2, in which she will co-star with Aftab Shivdasani and Sharman Joshi.

Commercials on television

Khan has appeared in over 50 commercials, including a July 2007 beauty commercial directed by Shirish Kunder. She has also appeared in commercials for Secret Temptation deodorant, Yatra.com, and the Xbox 360 video gaming console.

Khan's TV commercial for the men's underwear brand Amul Macho in March 2007 featured her provocatively scrubbing and cleaning some underwear while faking an orgasm. It sparked outrage and was outlawed by the Indian government due to sexual vulgarity. "Forget about the ban and people holding morchas (protests) against me and burning my posters in Bombay," Khan said. People in the creative area adored it towards the end." Khan was rehired by the corporation, and a sequel to the commercial with a different concept was published in February 2008.

Big Brother

Khan appeared as a celebrity participant in the sixth season of Bigg Boss, the Indian version of the reality TV show Big Brother. Khan revealed her relationship with choreographer Melvin Louis in February 2019. They will be separated in February 2020.

On October 8, 2020, Khan announced on Instagram that she was leaving the entertainment world to "serve humanity and follow the order of her Creator."

Khan will marry Islamic scholar Mufti Anas Sayed in Surat on November 21, 2020.
