Selin ekerci was born on June 1, 1989, in zmir, to an Arab father and an Azerbaijani mother. In zmir, she finished primary and secondary school. She took part in plays at the zmir State Theater. In zmir, she performed in private theaters and children's plays. She graduated from Istanbul Bilgi University's cinema-television department. She appeared in numerous commercials after moving to Istanbul.

She appeared in the Turkish version of Dawson's Creek, Kavak Yelleri, as well as the hit surreal comedy Leyla ile Mecnun. She rose to prominence as zgür in the popular youth series Melekler Korusun. She was a leading actress in the romantic comedy series Kaçak Gelinler, where she played the character ebnem Gürsoy. She has appeared in a number of television series.
