Rubina Dilaik (born August 26, 1989) is an Indian actress who works predominantly in Hindi television and Hindi films. She is most known for her roles as Radhika Shastri in Chotti Bahu and Soumya Singh in Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki. She was crowned Bigg Boss 14 winner in 2020. She competed in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 12, finishing fourth, and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10, finishing first runner-up, both in 2022. with 2022, she made her Hindi cinema debut with Palash Muchhal's Ardh.

Dilaik was born on the 26th of August 1989 in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. She went to Shimla Public School and St. Bede's College. Her father is also a writer who has published numerous novels in Hindi.

She used to be a beauty pageant contestant, winning two local beauty pageants and was crowned Miss Shimla in 2006. During her high school years, she was a national-level debate champion. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature with concentrations in Political Science. She won the Miss North India Pageant in Chandigarh in 2008.

Career Launch and Breakthrough (2008-2013)

She began her acting career with Chotti Bahu, despite the fact that she wanted to be an IAS and was practicing, but she was chosen in auditions conducted in Chandigarh. Dilaik rose to prominence after portraying Radhika Shastri in Zee TV's Chotti Bahu alongside Avinash Sachdev and reprising the role in the show's sequel. She starred as Simran "Smiley" Gill in Sony TV's Saas Bina Sasural in 2012.

She appeared as Divya Jakhotia in Zee TV's Punar Vivah - Ek Nayi Umeed in 2013, opposite Karan Grover.

Acclaim and success (2014-2019)

She played Sita in Life OK's mythological programme Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev from 2013 to 2014, and Jeannie in SAB TV's Jeannie Aur Juju.
From 2016 until 2020, Dilaik played Soumya Singh opposite Vivian Dsena in Colors TV's Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki, for which she received Best Personality in Colors' Golden Petal Awards 2017 and Best Actress at ITA Awards 2017. She returned to the series in March 2021. It proved to be a watershed moment in her career.

Bigg Boss 14 and later (2020-present)

Dilaik will compete in the fourteenth season of Bigg Boss, the Indian version of the reality TV show Big Brother, in October 2020. She participated in the home alongside her husband, Abhinav Shukla. She lived in the home for twenty weeks and came out on top.

Dilaik appeared on Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 12 in 2022.

Dilaik made her Hindi cinema debut in 2022 with Ardh, co-starring Rajpal Yadav and Hiten Tejwani. Palash Muchhal, a music composer-singer, makes his directorial debut. During the film's look-test, Rubina was picked above 50 other girls. Ardh was released digitally on ZEE5 on June 10, 2022, to favourable reviews from critics.

She competed in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10 in 2022, finishing as the first runner-up.

Dilaik was in a relationship with her Chotti Bahu co-star Avinash Sachdev before they parted up in 2012.

Dilaik married her longtime boyfriend, actor Abhinav Shukla, in Shimla on June 21, 2018.

Dilaik revealed on Bigg Boss 14 that her marriage with Shukla was in disarray prior to their appearance on the show. She also claimed that they had given each other six months before divorcing. However, after the episode, they chose to stay married, and her husband stated, "There's no divorce happening."

Eastern Eye's media picture attributes Dilaik's success to her "fast-growing fanbase," "fantastic talent," and "fearless approach." She is well-known for playing strong women on screen.
