Rina Kawaei Wiki, Age, Biography, Height, Husband, Family, Images, And More

Rina Kawaei (born February 12, 1995) is a Japanese actress and former singer who is represented by Avex. She was a member of the girl group AKB48 in the past. She has been in television shows such as Come Come Everybody (2021), and in 2019, she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the 61st Blue Ribbon Awards.

Career 2012–2014

Kawaei auditioned for AKB48 and was chosen as a kenkysei (trainee) for the 11th generation in July 2010.

She was promoted to Team 4 in March 2012 and transferred to Team A in August. Soon after the completion of the TV series Shiritsu Bakaleya Kk on June 30, it was reported that Kawaei will appear in the film adaptation. Several members of Johnny's Jr. and AKB48 would appear in the film.

Kawaei, Anna Iriyama, and Rena Kat were members of the AKB48 subunit Anrire. They were featured in Rino Sashihara's 2012 single "Ikujinashi Masquerade," which reached number one on Japan's Oricon weekly singles chart.

In 2013, it was announced during a special edition of the comedy show Mecha-Mecha Iketeru! that Kawaei would perform as center in a song of the special unit BKA48 that would be included on AKB48's single "Sayonara Crawl," which would be published in May. She finished 25th in the 2013 AKB48 general election with 26,764 votes, earning her a spot as an Under Girl for the upcoming single "Koi Suru Fortune Cookie."

Attack

The main article is: AKB48 handsaw assault in 2014

On May 25, 2014, she, Anna Iriyama, and a staff member were attacked by a 24-year-old man holding a handsaw during an event held at the Iwate Industry Culture & Convention Center in Takizawa, Iwate. He was detained at the spot on suspicion of attempted murder. All three victims were taken to a hospital for treatment after suffering wounds including bone fractures on their fingers (Kawaei's right thumb and Iriyama's right little finger were both shattered and sliced, while the girls had cuts on their heads). All group activities on that day, including the event, were canceled.

2014–present

She finished 16th in AKB48's 2014 general election with 39,120 votes, earning her a spot in the promotional lineup for the upcoming song "Kokoro no Placard."

Kawaei announced her departure from AKB48 and shift to acting on March 26, 2015, citing her inability to participate in handshake events following the Iwate incident as the cause. She graduated during AKB48's Summer Concert in Saitama Super Arena on August 2, 2015, and her final stage performance was on August 4, 2015. In November 2015, it was announced that she would co-star in the NHK morning drama Toto Neechan with Mitsuki Takahata.

She made her voice acting debut in the anime film PriPara Minna no Akogare Let's Go PriPari (), voicing Minifaruru, Faruru's younger sister.
Personal life In 2019, Kawaei married actor Tomoki Hirose. She has one child, who was born in November of 2019.  Kawaei announced her second pregnancy on January 1, 2023.
