After years of romantic rumours, Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton's engagement was formally announced on March 17, 2022. They recently welcomed their first kid, making them parents-to-be.
While performing on the West End together in 2019, the couple first met, which immediately set the romance rumours in motion. But the two highly private people kept the specifics of their romance to themselves rather than flaunting it publicly. Following their famous 2016 relationship, Hiddleston changed his mind about discussing his personal life. In 2017, he stated to the Telegraph that he wished to keep his private life exactly that—private.
""I love what I do and I dedicate myself with absolute passion to generating great art and wonderful entertainment, and in my mind I don't conflict the two," he said, adding that "everyone is entitled to a private life. Although I have a private existence, my work is done in the public eye. And the two of those are distinct."
Hiddleston hasn't spoken out publicly about dating Ashton since that time and hasn't even mentioned it. The "Handmaid's Tale" actress has also made the decision to keep her personal life private. Although she expressed a desire to someday have a child when speaking to Bustle in September 2019, she was quick to add, "It's not in the works, and it's not being planned."
