Rashmi Uday Singh is a TV broadcaster and author who specializes in Indian cuisine.

She works as a food specialist, focusing on vegetarianism and health. She has written over 40 books. She has received the Gourmand World Cookbook Award and the French government's Chevalier dans l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.

She was India's first city restaurant guide, as well as the world's first vegetarian Paris guide. Rashmi's Nightlife Guide to Mumbai is also on the list of firsts, as is a city restaurant guide to Pune. She developed, written, directed, and presented India's first ever full-length television show, "Health Today." Rashmi Uday Singh's Good Food Academy and Sunshine programs were also groundbreakers.

She has meticulously tracked this development in her editorials and pieces. Pioneering with The World's First Vegetarian Guide to Paris and The Vegetarian Cookbook - "Around the World in 80 Plates," she has now followed up with her thesis for Higher Studies in Gastronomy in Paris on "The Rise and Fall of Vegetarianism."

Education, the Internal Revenue Service, rewards, and the jury

Singh wrote the IAS test after studying English literature hons, graduating in Law, studying journalism, and obtaining a master's degree in management. After working 15 years in the Indian Revenue Service, she quit as Commissioner of Tax to pursue her interest in television and newspaper. She received five Gourmand World cookbook prizes and was knighted by the French government as a Chevalier of the Arts and Letters, among other honors. Singh serves on the board of directors of numerous international and national academies. To mention a few, the World's 50 Best, World's Best Female Chef, and Times She Unltd.
