Preetika Rao, an Indian actress, model, and columnist for movies, specializes in Hindi television commercials. the Tamil film Chikku Bukku, in which she made her acting debut. (2010). The role of Aaliya Zain Abdullah in Rao's television debut Beintehaa (2013–2014) earned her numerous accolades, including the Gold Award for Best Debut–Female and the ITA Award for GR8! Couple with Harshad Arora onscreen.
Rao was born in Mangalore, Karnataka, in his early years. She is a Hindu who hails from a Konkani-speaking family. She earned a history major degree from Sophia College as well as a certification in journalism and advertising. She contributed to the Asian Age, Deccan Chronicle, and Bangalore Mirror. Bollywood actress Amrita Rao is her sister.
After making her acting debut, she relocated to the US to enroll in the New York Film Academy's diploma program in broadcast journalism.
Career
(2010–2014)
In the 2010 Tamil film Chikku Bukku, where she co-starred with Arya as Meenal "Ammu," she made her acting and cinematic debut. She then made her Telugu film debut in Priyudu (2012), playing Madhu Latha opposite Varun Sandesh.
In 2013, Rao made the switch from regional film to television with Beintehaa, costarring Harshad Arora. She played Aaliya Ghulam Haider/Aaliya Zain Abdullah, and for her portrayal, she was honored with numerous honors, including the Gold honors for Best Debut-Female
(2015–2018)
Rao made her music debut in 2015 with the song "Na Tum Humein Jano." In the same year, she made her Kannada film debut with Aditya in the part of Preetika in Rebel. She was a contestant in the Box Cricket League in 2016.
Love Ka Hai Intezaar marked Rao's return on television in 2017. In contrast to Mohit Sehgal, she played Mohini Mathur Ranawat/Mohini Ayaan Mehta. Later, she co-starred with Yunus Khan in the short film Metro Mulaqat as Priya. In the same year, she and Siddharth Basrur released their second song, "Yaad Kiya Dil Ne."
In the episode "Gudiya" of Laal Ishq in 2018, she co-starred with Priyank Sharma and Niti Taylor as Mahima "Mahi" Malhotra. Additionally, she appeared in the music videos "Surilee" (2017), "Tere Vede" (2018), and "Tenu Bhul Na Pavagi" with Shaan. (2018).

Preetika Rao started a successful career as a video producer and creator on YouTube after launching her channel in June 2022.
Media citations
Rao has over 200 TVC and print campaigns to her name, including one in which she co-starred with Amitabh Bachchan in an advertising for Cadbury Dairy Milk.
Rao was honored at the Sinema Zetu International Festival in Dar es Salaam for her enormous popularity in Tanzania as a result of her program Beintehaa. She came up at number six on Rediff's list of the top 10 television actresses of 2014.
