Pranitha Subhash is an Indian actress best known for her roles in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi films. She made her acting debut in the Kannada film Porki in 2010. She appeared in the critically acclaimed film Bheema Theeradalli in 2012. She later appeared in commercially successful Telugu and Tamil films such as Baava (2010), Attarintiki Daredi (2013), Massu Engira Masilamani (2015), and Enakku Vaaitha Adimaigal (2017).
Career
Pranitha made her acting debut in the 2010 Kannada film Porki, opposite Darshan. Following the success of Porki, she turned down several offers from Kannada films and became picky about her projects before agreeing to star in the Telugu film Baava, a love story in which she co-starred with Siddharth. She received universal acclaim for her portrayal of a Telugu village belle in the film. She then starred in her first Tamil film, Udhayan, alongside Arulnithi.
She was then cast in her second Tamil film, Saguni, opposite Karthi, which was released in both Tamil and Telugu. Saguni was her most successful film, opening in a record 1,150 theatres worldwide.
She then starred opposite Duniya Vijay in Jarasandha and Bheema Theeradalli, a true-life story about a naxalite. Critics praised Subhash's portrayal of Bheemavva, and she received a Filmfare nomination for it. That year, she received the Santosham award for Bheema Theeradalli.
She then appeared in the Kannada film Whistle, for which she received a SIIMA nomination.
Following that, she starred in the Telugu film Attarintiki Daredi, which was released in September 2013 and went on to become the highest-grossing Telugu film of all time, grossing over 100 crore. It also earned her nominations for various award ceremonies. The movie is being remade in different languages.
At the same time, she was working on the Kannada film Brahma, opposite Upendra. She also appeared in the film Pandavulu Pandavulu Thummeda, which starred Raveena Tandon and Mohan Babu, and was paired opposite Manchu Manoj. Both films performed admirably. After a two-year hiatus, she signed on for another Tamil film, Masss, opposite Suriya, in late November 2014. In late 2014, she signed on to star in the Telugu film Dynamite alongside Manchu Vishnu.
She appeared in the Telugu film Brahmotsavam, starring Mahesh Babu, in late June 2015.
She recently collaborated on the song "Chan Kitthan" with Ayushmann Khurrana.
Subhash will graduate from Harvard Kennedy School with a degree in Professional & Leadership Development in December 2020.

She has demonstrated her dedication to the cause by overhauling the infrastructure and introducing language teachers into the schools. Currently, at least 13 such schools have been adopted by various individuals, setting a precedent for the others. She made a $10,000 donation to the same cause. Subhash was appointed as a brand ambassador by the Election Commission (EC) and Rahul Dravid in April 2019 to raise voter awareness ahead of the 2019 general election in India. The initiative, dubbed "State Icons," aimed to reach millions of voters in Karnataka.
