Nozomi Sasaki Wiki, Age, Biography, Height, Husband, Family, Images, And More

Nozomi Sasaki (, Sasaki Nozomi, born February 8, 1988 in Akita, Akita Prefecture, Japan), was previously known simply as Nozomi throughout her fashion modeling career.

She rose to prominence as a gravure idol and principal ringside commentator / spokesperson for the mixed martial arts tournament Dream Fighting Championships and the kickboxing competition K-1 World Max after nearly 7 years as a fashion model.

Since late 2008, she has released eight photobooks and three DVDs, as well as numerous appearances on television, magazines, and advertisements that are not related to fashion or cosmetics, such as those for Coca-Cola's green tea products, Suntory's three soft drink products, So-net, Willcom, Fujifilm, Kao, Rohto Pharmaceutical Co., and Seiko's Tisse brand line created for and dedicated to her. Cotton Cloud, an accessories company she endorses, was founded for her in June 2010 and its first flag shop opened in Harajuku.

She began her music career in 2010, with the single "Kamu to Funyan" (), which featured rapper Astro and was used in advertising for Lotte Fit's Chewing Gum. Nozomi Collection, Sasaki's debut album, was released on April 18, 2012.

She married comedian and TV host Ken Watabe in 2017. They have a single child.

Biography

Modeling

Sasaki began modeling when she was just 14 years old. She primarily modeled for the collection circuit and fashion/cosmetic advertising. She was a prominent model and contributor to the now-defunct Pinky magazine in her final years of modeling. She initially appeared on the cover of Pinky magazine in July 2007, alongside Emi Suzuki.

One hypothesis holds that Suzuki was the one who introduced Sasaki to the commercial modeling sector after discovering her when Sasaki was about to retire from modeling, and it has been noticed that Sasaki appeared to be significantly chubbier than she used to be at the time.
She has modeled for Japanese magazines such as "PINKY", "non-no", and "Oggi"; she is presently the model for "with". (Please see the external link below)

Gravure

In 2005, she began appearing as a glamour model (gravure idol) on the youth-targeted monthly manga magazine Young Jump, and in 2006, she appeared in the Pinky fashion magazine. In May 2007, she made her debut appearance on the front cover of Young Jump.

Nozomi In August 2008, Sasaki launched her first photobook, Nozomi, and in September 2009, she released her first DVD, Weekly Young Jump Premium DVD: nozomi. In 2009, she published her second DVD, Dolly, as well as two photobooks, Sasaki Nozomi in Tenshi no Koi and Non.

In early 2010, she was featured in the 2.4 million-selling manga series Usogui on Young Jump, and her fourth photobook, Prism, was launched. Despite having one of the smallest breasts in the gravure scene, she became a popular model by the end of 2010 in a sector where breast size is considered a critical aspect.

She also started appearing in Non-no magazine, a biweekly girl-next-door fashion magazine that does not generally feature people like her. Despite becoming more of a gravure idol than a professional model, Sasaki was widely featured in a spring fashion collection given by the magazine and BS-TBS, and she quickly placed on the magazine's top cover. These appearances have been described as a "invasion," as she has substantially altered the tone of the publication. Some detractors have claimed that Nozomi Sasaki damaged the magazine.Print, television, and cinema

Since 2009, she has been on over ten television shows and in over twenty television ads. Her first big TV hit was a TV advertisement for Lotte's new chewing gum product Fit's, in which she performed a "silly dance" known as the Fit's dance. Fit's was an instant success, selling almost 40 million units in its first five months in the Japanese gum market, where 4 million units per year is considered a huge success.

The Japan Magazine Publishers organisation, a governmental publishing trade organisation run by the Ministry of Education, chose her as the image character for a special advertising campaign in March 2009. During the campaign, her photo featured in 300 different magazines as well as 30,000 posters for bookstores and public libraries around Japan, 100,000 posters displayed in trains in the Tokyo metropolitan area and the Kansai area, and 2,009 prepaid cards.

Sasaki made a cameo appearance in the romantic comedy Handsome Suit as well as minor roles in two television serials before landing the lead role in the 2009 sentimental romance film Tenshi no Koi, in which she played a teenage girl in a fragile relationship with an older man played by Shosuke Tanihara. The film was an instant success, and it was also distributed in neighboring countries such as Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore. She appeared in the 2010 television drama Dohyo Girl as a model who became the coach of a high school sumo team. This was her first leading part in a television drama series in her acting career.

In July 2010, she made her singing debut with the catchphrase "Heta de Gomenne!" ("Forgive my bad singing!") when she released the single Kamu to Funyan ft. Astro, which debuted at number one on the Oricon singles list. She released her second single, Jin Jin Jingle Bell, at the end of 2010, a cover version of Chisato Moritaka's 1995 smash. She was supposed to appear in the NHK Kohaku program, an annual New Year's Eve musical TV show, but when queried about it by the press during the Jin Jin Jingle Bell memorial event, she said she didn't want to. She asserted that she couldn't sing and was too nervous to perform her songs live in public. As a result, she did not attend the performance.

Dream and K-1

She was hired as a ringside commentator for K-1 immediately after her predecessor, Akina Minami, was fired. Soon after, she was hired as a ringside commentator by Dream. Since April 2009, she has worked for these two combat sport championships not only as a ringside commentator but also as a spokesman. She quickly earned an excellent reputation. "Oh, well, I think she's good, she seems too calm, at least way better than that one I saw at the previous World GP," Remy Bonjasky said. "You know, she's uncannily reticent compared to other ringside gals I know," Gago Drago said, "but in a way, it's good, you know, especially during a fight!" Buakaw "Immediately after the bout, that girl gave me a towel with her awesome smile," Por. Pramuk said after the K-1 World MAX 2009 World Championship Tournament Final. It took away all of my suffering!" Many fighters in Dream, including Joachim Hansen, JZ Calvan, Zelg Galei, Choi Hong-man, Paulo Filho, James Thompson, Bibiano Fernandes, Kultar Gill, Sergei Kharitonov, and Josh Barnett, have positively praised the new face, prompting Rin Takanashi to call them "gullible cherry boys" on Twitter. Only a few critiques have been leveled at her; most notably, Badr Hari has claimed that he believes her predecessor and heavyweight division's long-term analyst Norika Fujiwara was superior since he considers her "somehow ominous."

The general public's reception

Since her debut as a glamour model, she has been noted for her doll-like image attributed to her beauty and manners, resulting in the title "Dolly" for her first full-scale DVD.

Unlike her mentor, Emi Suzuki, who has declined practically all interview requests even after beginning to appear in the mainstream celebrity scene in 2009, Sasaki has typically allowed interviews since then. She frequently speaks in her home tongue, the Akita dialect, which people outside of the northern region can not understand; hence, the press hounding her is frequently accompanied by interpreters. It is also known that some reporters have been barred from interviewing her, primarily those who attempted to question her about her past, notably her fashion modeling days. Her fashion modeling days have periodically sparked popular attention, albeit she has never spoken about them. In an interview in April 2010, a photographer highlighted Sasaki, saying he witnessed Sasaki's first contact with Yukina Kinoshita, a commercial model who has been recognized as a notorious brawler, a purported former member of a bosozoku gang, and has become Sasaki's coworker. The photographer allegedly watched their pre-brawl scenario in 2008, in which Kinoshita provoked a fight with Sasaki, pouncing on Sasaki, but Kinoshita ran away from it after Sasaki caught Kinoshita's arm, staring at her, and Kinoshita felt "seriously freaked out." Kinoshita later commented on this just before her retirement, confirming it and portraying Sasaki as something more than a brawler, which casts doubt on her "gang" past.

In August 2010, she appeared on the cover of anan magazine, dressed in a black gown and sporting a body type reminiscent of her previous career as a fashion model. At the time, she inked a new endorsement contract with Fujifilm's FinePix and attended its ceremonial press conference, dressed in another black gown made by her old fan Razor Ramon HG and sporting a body shape evocative of her previous career as a fashion model. These appearances were mentioned in the fashion press. The September issue of Ray magazine included the title "Nozomi has returned?" and paired the black gowns with some of her previous nicknames relating to the color black, such as "Black Surgeon / Black Maiden." This appearance was also covered by Sankei Shimbun, who referred to her as "Nozomi."

In November 2010, Akita Prefecture appointed her as one of two official PR-Ambassadors, along with Natsuki Kato, with the goal of improving the prefecture's image. The mayor, Norihisa Satake, formally stated that he hoped she would replace Akita's image of being snowy and dreary with her image of being wonderful and joyful.
