Nidhhi Agerwal is an Indian actress best known for her roles in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi films. Agerwal made her acting debut after competing in Miss Diva Universe 2014 with the Hindi film Munna Michael (2017), for which she earned the Zee Cine Award for Best Female Debut.
Savyasachi (2018) was Agerwal's Telugu debut, and Eeswaran (2021) was her Tamil debut. She garnered SIIMA Award nominations for Best Female Debut - Telugu for the former. She has appeared in films such as iSmart Shankar (2019) and Kalaga Thalaivan (2022).
Early years
Agerwal grew raised in Bangalore after being born in Hyderabad. She was born into a Hindi-speaking Marwari family and is fluent in Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada. Her birth year has been stated as either 1992 or 1993.
Her education was received in Debipur Milan Vidyapith. She graduated from Christ University in Bangalore with a degree in Business Management. She has studied ballet, kathak, and belly dance.
Agerwal's career began in 2016, when filmmaker Sabbir Khan announced that he has cast Agerwal as the lead in his film Munna Michael, with Tiger Shroff. She was chosen from a pool of 300 applicants. Agerwal was also requested to sign a no-dating agreement until the film was completed. With the film, she made her acting debut, which earned mixed to unfavorable reviews from reviewers.
Agerwal made her Telugu cinema debut in 2018 with Savyasachi, co-starring Naga Chaitanya. It didn't do well at the box office. In 2019, she had two releases. Mr. Majnu, starring Akhil Akkineni, was a box-office failure, whereas iSmart Shankar, starring Ram Pothineni, was a commercial hit that lasted more than 100 days. Agerwal participated in two music videos that year: Unglich Ring Daal De, sung by Jyotica Tangri, and AAHO! Mittran Di Yes Hai, sung by Badshah.
In Eeswaran, she made her Tamil debut opposite Silambarasan in 2021. The movie earned mixed reviews and was only moderately successful. Her second film, Bhoomi, starring Jayam Ravi, was released the following year. It garnered unfavorable feedback. She also starred alongside Sonu Sood in Altaf Raja's remake of the Saath Kya Nibhaoge song. In 2022, she co-starred in Hero with rookie Ashok Galla. The film received mixed reviews from reviewers as well as spectators. She also co-starred in Magizh Thirumeni's action-thriller film Kalaga Thalaivan, which earned favorable reviews from reviewers.
She will next be seen in Krish Jagarlamudi's Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which is set to be released in 2023.
Agerwal has appeared on the list of the Most Desirable Women in Hyderabad Times several times. In 2019, she was rated 11th, and in 2020, she was ranked 8th.
She is a famous brand endorser for various companies. In 2019, she declined an endorsement for a fairness cream. Agerwal has also appeared in a bilingual advertisement for Kalyan Jewellers.
