Ni Ni (Chinese: ; pinyin: N N, born 8 August 1988) is a Chinese actress best known for her roles as Yu Mo in Zhang Yimou's 2011 film The Flowers of War and Ling Xi in the 2019 television series Love and Destiny. Southern Metropolis Daily named her one of the "New Four Dan Actresses."
Ni was born on March 8, 1988, in Nanjing, Jiangsu, China. She earned a bachelor's degree in television broadcasting and hosting from the Communication University of China in Nanjing.
Career
Ni made her cinematic debut as the lead female character "Yu Mo" in Zhang Yimou's war film The Flowers of War. She rose to popularity after receiving critical accolades for her portrayal in the film.
In 2012 and 2013, Li co-starred with Liu Ye in the mystery thriller Redemption, the romance film Love Will Tear Us Apart, and the road-trip drama picture Up in the Wind.
Ni appeared in the coming-of-age film Fleet of Time in 2014. Ni co-starred with Angelababy in the Chinese adaptation of Bride Wars in 2015.
Ni appeared in Luc Besson's Chinese-French fantasy The Warriors Gate in 2016. The same year, she starred in Suddenly Seventeen, a love comedy directed by Zhang Yimou's daughter.
In 2017, Ni appeared in the fantasy action film Wu Kong as well as Tsui Hark's science fiction wuxia feature The Thousand Faces of Dunjia.
Ni co-starred in her first television drama, The Rise of Phoenixes, with Chen Kun in 2018. As part of the series' soundtrack, she released her first single, "Why to No Avail." Forbes China named Ni to their 30 Under 30 Asia 2017 list, which included 30 notable persons under the age of 30 who have made a significant impact in their industries.
Ni returns to the big screen in 2019 with the crime heist flick Savage. She then made her stage debut in Stan Lai's play One One Zero Eight. Ni co-starred in the fantasy romance drama Love and Destiny with Chang Chen the same year. The series got favorable reviews, and Ni received praise for her portrayal of a fairy maiden who struggled to find happiness.
Ni co-starred in the action film Shock Wave 2 with Andy Lau in 2020.
In 2021, Ni co-starred in the drama Night Wanderer, which was based on Zhao Xi Zhi's popular time-travel novel "Ye Lv Ren" ().

Ni has been the Chinese ambassador for Jaeger-LeCoultre since 2011 and is now the company's global spokeswoman. In 2013, she was chosen SK-II's worldwide ambassador.
She was chosen as Uniqlo's brand ambassador in China in 2014, and she is now the company's global spokesman.
Between 2017 and 2019, she served as Tiffany & Co.'s official global ambassador.
Ni has been an official Gucci brand ambassador since 2017 and a global spokesperson for Gucci Eyewear since 2019. She has been named Gucci's Global Brand Ambassador from 2022.
