Nana Komatsu (小松 菜奈, Komatsu Nana, born February 16, 1996) is a Japanese actress and model. Her film credits include The World of Kanako, Destruction Babies, Drowning Love, The Black Devil and the White Prince, My Tomorrow, Your Yesterday, After the Rain, Farewell Song, Threads: Our Tapestry of Love, and Sakura. In the film Silence, she made her Hollywood debut.
Komatsu's personal life began in Tokyo. On November 15, 2021, she married fellow actor Masaki Suda. They had been dating since September of this year, according to reports. They appeared in three movies together: Destruction Babies, Drowning Love, and Threads - Our Tapestry of Love.
Career
Komatsu made her film debut in The World of Kanako and went on to win several Best New Actress accolades, including Newcomer of the Year at the 38th Japan Academy Film Prize. She has been a Chanel House Ambassador since 2015. Stardust Promotion had a contract with her. She appeared in Martin Scorsese's film Silence in 2016.
Komatsu was nominated for the 43rd Japan Academy Film Prize for Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Supporting part for her part in the film Family of Strangers. Threads: Our Tapestry of Love, the sixth most grossing Japanese film of 2020, starring her. She was nominated in the Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Leading part category at the 44th Japan Academy Film Prize for her part in the film Threads: Our Tapestry of Love.
In 2021, Komatsu featured in the films Moonlight Shadow and Parasite in Love. In 2022, she co-starred in the film The Last 10 Years with Kentaro Sakaguchi, which grossed over 3 billion yen and was recognized as the eighth highest grossing Japanese film in 2022.
Komatsu was named the face of Chanel's Fall/Winter 2023-2024 Ready to Wear collection in 2023. She is the first Japanese national to be featured as the face of a luxury brand's collection.
