Meera Wiki, Age, Biography, Height, Boyfriend, Family, Images, And More

Irtiza Rubab (Urdu: ) (born 12 May 1977), known professionally as Meera (Urdu: ), is a Pakistani film actress and television presenter. She has appeared in films in Urdu, Punjabi, and Hindi.

Career

Meera made her film debut in 1995 and received widespread critical acclaim in 1999 for her lead role in Khilona (1996–97). She received critical acclaim for her performance in Khilona, which earned her her first Nigar Award. With the release of Inteha, another critical and commercial success, she won the Nigar Award for Best Actress of the Year for the second time in a row. She became an important part of Lollywood in the late 1990s. In 2004, she starred in Salakhain, which helped boost her international profile. She made her Bollywood debut in 2005 with Nazar, a joint Indo-Pakistani film. In 2010, she portrayed Husan Ara in TV One's Husan Ara Kaun, followed by another role in A-Plus TV's drama Bichday Toh Ahsaas Hua the following year. She received the Best Actress Award at the 3rd Delhi International Film Festival in 2014 for her "out of the box" performance in the psychological thriller film Hotal. Oscar was her first project as a director, which she announced in 2016. The same year, she was nominated for a Lux Style Award for her performance as Naseem Dilruba in TV One's drama Mein Sitara. She also played a significant role in the television series Naagin. She made her film debut in the 2019 drama film Baaji, which was a box office success. In 2019, she appeared in the PTV Home drama Abba, which is still very popular.

She has announced her intention to enter politics and will join Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI), Pakistan's ruling party.

a successful career in Bollywood

Meera's first film in India, Nazar, starred her as the first Pakistani actress to be seen in India, alongside Begum Para, and marked the start of India-Pakistan peace talks. Nazar was the first Indo-Pakistani joint film venture in 50 years, directed by Soni Razdan. Kasak, starring Lucky Ali, was her second film. Despite Kasak's critical and commercial failure, Meera continued to work in Bollywood. Her third film, Paanch Ghantey Mien Paanch Crore, did well at the box office. The film was not shown to the press or critics because director Faisal Saif preferred to show it directly to the audience. With a limited theatrical release, the film received a 50% opening. The Times of India, on the other hand, listed the film as one of Bollywood's Top 10 Bold Films of 2012.

She sang an item song in another Indian film, Bumpe RFr Draw, in 2015.

Private life

Sheikh Attiq-ur-Rehman, a Faisalabad-based businessman, claimed in 2009 that he and Meera married in 2007. Meera denied the marriage and filed a false claim case against him. However, in 2018, a Lahore family court recognised Meera as Attiq-ur-wife Rehman's by validating the marriage certificate and honeymoon photos.
