Leslie Grace and Brendan Fraser as Firefly Share Batgirl Behind-the-Scenes Video

"Batgirl" star Leslie Grace is not going down without a fight.

Leslie Grace, the lead actress, posted a TikTok video of behind-the-scenes footage from filming almost two months after Warner Bros. Discovery announced the DC movie would be put on hold indefinitely. In the movie, Grace plays Barbara Gordon, and HBO Max was supposed to air it in early 2023. The cast also included J.K. Simmons, Brendan Fraser, and Michael Keaton.

Grace posted videos of herself applying makeup, rehearsing fight moves, and Fraser performing pushups as the character Firefly. "Batgirls Get Lonely Too," an original song by Grace, serves as the soundtrack for the video.

This song was written during the pandemic...

Grace captioned the photo, "b4 I ever knew ANY of this would be my reality.

Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, the directors of "Batgirl," earlier claimed that Warner Bros. Discovery had barred their access to the production servers, preventing them from completing the picture.
Fallah declared, "We have nothing. "Adil called and told me to take pictures of everything with my phone. When I logged in, everything was blocked.

We were like, "Fucking stuff!," El Arbi recounted. all of the Batman-related moments! Shit!’”

The "Ms. Marvel" and "Bad Boys for Life" filmmakers were in the post-production stage of the feature picture when "Batgirl" was cancelled, and VFX effects were still required. The movie was shelved by David Zaslav, CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery, in order to claim a tax deduction.

In an interview with SKRIPT, El Arbi stated, "The men from Warners assured us it wasn't a talent problem from our end or the actress, or even the quality of the movie." "They said it was a shift in strategy. They intended to make some financial savings because there was new management.

Following the revelation, the movie's lead actress Grace posted a social media ode to it with the caption "Querida family!

Following the latest news regarding our film "Batgirl," I want to express my pride for the love, dedication, and intention that our wonderful cast and hardworking team gave to our project over the course of seven months in Scotland. I consider myself fortunate to have collaborated with legends and created relationships that will last a lifetime. Thank you to every Batgirl fan for their support and encouragement, which enabled me to don the cape and become, as Babs put it best, "my own damn hero!' #Batgirl for life!

The movie also included Ivory Aquino as the first transgender actress in the DC world, and Grace was slated to be the first Latina DC superhero to appear on screen.
