Kristina Igorevna Asmus (born 14 April 1988 in Moscow) is a Russian actress. She is well recognized for her performance in the medical sitcom Interns. Maxim magazine rated her the sexiest Russian woman of 2010.
Biography
Asmus hailed from a sporting family. She was a gymnast who advanced to the level of Candidate for Master of Sports. Karina Myasnikova, her younger sister, was a member of Russia's national gymnastics squad.
She was still a schoolgirl when she performed in E. Makhonin's "The Dawns Here Are Quiet..." in theater "MEL," and after graduating from high school in N. Yermakova's "Portrait of Mademoiselle Tarzhi" in Korolyov Youth Theatre.
She enrolled in Konstantin Raikin's Moscow Art Theatre School in 2005, but did not complete her studies. In 2008, she enrolled in the Mikhail Shchepkin Higher Theatre School, where she studied under Boris Klyuyev. Her screen debut was as Vari Chernous in the comic series Interns. MAXIM magazine model in 2010.
According to Glamour magazine, Asmus was named TV Actress of the Year in 2011.
She won the Fashion People Awards for Fashion Actress in 2013.
In 2020, she began gaining weight for a film called Rolls.
During the Russian invasion of Ukraine in September 2022, she was charged of opposing Russian assault against the neighboring country, although she was not convicted.
She is currently employed at the Yermolova Theatre.
Personal life:
She has been married to actor and comedian Garik Kharlamov since 2013. Anastasia, their daughter, was born in 2014. In 2020, they declared their divorce.
