Kim Hyang-gi is a South Korean actress who was born on August 9, 2000.
Kim began her career as a child actress, making her debut in a Paris Baguette Commercial alongside future co-star Jung Woo Sung, and first appeared in the animal film Heart Is... in 2006 alongside Yoo Seung-ho. Following that, she starred in the melodrama film Cherry Tomato, which depicted the impoverished life of an elderly man and his granddaughter. Kim's first notable role was in the drama film Wedding Dress, in which she played Song Yoon-daughter. ah's
Kim won the Best Young Actress Award at the 2013 MBC Drama Awards for her role in the television drama The Queen's Classroom in 2013. Kim was next seen in Thread of Lies, a film adaptation of Kim Ryeo-novel ryeong's Elegant Lies about a determined young woman seeking the truth about her sister's suicide. Her portrayal of a bully victim earned her the Baeksang Arts Awards' Best New Actress award.
Kim starred in the Drama City television special Snowy Road in 2015. The two-part drama series, which was later released in theatres, is about the "comfort women" in Korea under Japanese rule during World War II.
Kim starred in the web drama Sweet Revenge in 2017, which received positive reviews and received over 11 million views online. The same year, she starred in the fantasy blockbuster Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds. The film was the second highest-grossing film in South Korea, and Kim won the Blue Dragon Awards for Best Supporting Actress. Kim later reprised her role in the film's sequel, Along with the Gods: The Last 49 Days.
Kim appeared in the drama film Youngju in 2018, playing a lonely girl whose environment has forced her to grow up too quickly. She was cast in the two-episode romance drama Drunk in Good Taste the same year.
Kim reunited with and co-starred with Jung Woo-sung in the 2019 drama film Innocent Witness. She received positive feedback for her portrayal of a girl with a developmental disorder. She also appeared alongside Ong Seong-wu in the youth drama At Eighteen.
In 2022, Kim played Jeong Bo-reum, a spy who enters enemy territory disguised as a courtesan, in the period war action film Hansan: Rising Dragon, the second installment of Kim Han-Yi min's Sun-sin trilogy. She appeared in the tvN historical-medical drama Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist the same year.
