In spite of his paternity scandal, in which he is said to have welcomed a child with Maralee Nichols in December 2021 as the result of an alleged affair, the 31-year-old basketball player has daughter True, 4, and a two-month-old son with ex-girlfriend Khloe, 38. She is said to be allowing him to be "present" in spite of this.
He wants to be there and spend time with the kids, and of course Khloe is enabling him to be in both of their lives, according to a source.
The founder of the Good American is eager for Tristan to interact with their offspring.
Added information to Us Weekly: "Both she and he want him to be a part of the baby's life. When present, he is a loving and caring father. He's not always there, though, as Khloe has primary custody."
'The Kardashians' actress recently discussed how her relationship had failed when they were in such a "wonderful position" with her older sister Kim, 41.
Says Khloe "When he slept with Maralee, we were in the ideal situation. So you decide to cheat on me while our relationship is at its strongest? Even worse than that, I don't even want to know what you do in our relationship. I nearly feel like saying, "Shame on me." I should have done better, but I didn't because I had so much hope and, um, faith."
When the sisters were filming for their reality programme "The Kardashians," Kim, who was dating comedian Pete Davidson at the time, reminded Khloe that she had previously questioned how she knew she could "trust" her boyfriend.
Kim answered: "You once asked me a question. How do you trust Pete, you asked? And I respond, "I simply do." It's a feeling, sort of."
Khloe responded by saying that it takes "a lot" of trust to believe someone, and she finds the entire paternity scenario to be "humiliating" (her ex-husband Lamar Odom was also unfaithful throughout their marriage).
She uttered: "It's just a lot, and how can you know who to believe? I'm not sure. But I do know that it's all embarrassing and terrible. It is painful. I really have nothing else to offer. I'm not sure if I'm strong; I just don't care about any of this s***."
