Kavita Kaushik is an Indian actress who predominantly appears in Hindi and Punjabi television. She was born on February 15, 1981. She made her acting debut in Kutumb by Ekta Kapoor. In the Indian television industry, Kaushik is best known for her portrayal of Chandramukhi Chautala in the sitcom F.I.R. on SAB TV. This role launched her career and made her a household figure. She competed in the reality competition series Bigg Boss, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (2015), and Nach Baliye (2007). (2020).

Early life

On February 15, 1981, in New Delhi, India, Kaushik was born to a Brahmin family. Dinesh Chandra Kaushik, a retired CRPF officer, is her father. She earned her degree in philosophy from Delhi's Indraprastha College for Women.

Career 2001–2006:

During her time in college, Debut Kaushik began modeling, organizing events, and anchoring. She relocated to Mumbai in 2001 after attending Kutumb auditions in New Delhi. As Manya Doshi in Ekta Kapoor's Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Kaushik joins the cast. She had two television appearances in 2002: Kohi Apna Sa and Kammal.

Kavita appeared in the Sony TV shows Kahani Terrii Merrii and Piya Ka Ghar in 2003. In 2004, she made episodic appearances on Ruby Duby Hub Dub, Tumhari Disha, Dil Kya Chahtha Hai, and Raat Hone Ko Hai. She played Naina Kulkarni in Kumkum - Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan, the longest-running daily soap on Star Plus, from 2004 to 2005. After after, Pallavi made an appearance in Remix, another daily soap. As Sub Inspector Anushka, Kaushik made brief cameos in the television shows Ye Meri Life Hai and C.I.D.

In the 2004 movie Ek Hasina Thi, Kaushik made his Bollywood debut as Saif Ali Khan's girlfriend. In 2005, Kaushik made a comeback to television with the series Rooh. He then went on to play Deepika in the film Saarrthi.

2006–2015: breakthrough and achievement

In 2006, Kaushik finally achieved success when she was cast as Chandramukhi Chautala, the main character in F.I.R, the longest-running sitcom on SAB TV. She finished playing the part. Due to her attractive demeanor and tall frame, Kaushik received a lot of glamorous and bad parts in her early days in the industry. She broke away from the unfavorable roles she was being offered at the time during her time as Chandramukhi Chautala in F.I.R., which proved to be a turning point in her career. With a total of 1000 episodes, the sitcom was a success. As a fiery female police officer with a Haryanavi accent, Kaushik became a well-known face on Indian television and received numerous awards. In the 20 years that she was away from FIR, Jawalamukhi Chautala, Chandramukhi's daughter, was played by actor Chitrashi Rawat. In July 2013, Kaushik returned to FIR in her prior role as Chandramukhi Chautala while Rawat was ordered to leave the program. It ceased airing in January 2015.

Kaushik hosted the reality program Arre Deewano Mujhe Pehchano on Star Plus in 2009. Despite the sitcom's popularity, Kaushik quit the series in January 2013 to co-star with Gaurav Gera in Tota Weds Maina, another SAB TV sitcom. The plot centered on Tota (Gera) and Maina (Kaushik) and the events that occurred after their erroneous marriage. However, the show's TRPs continued to decline, and in April of that same year, it was taken off the air.

In addition to her numerous television roles, Kaushik has appeared in supporting parts in movies including Phillum City and Mumbai Cutting (2009). (2011). Even an item song, Shakila Bano, from Apoorva Lakhia's Zanjeer was performed by her. (2013).

Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and subsequent productions, 2015-present

Together with VJ Andy in 2014, Kaushik hosted the sports reality series Box Cricket League on Sony TV. Kaushik took part in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8 on Colors TV in July 2015, but she was evicted in the second week. In response to the Comedy Nights Bachao team insulting her and turning off her microphone during the Jhalak grand finale in October 2015, Kaushik walked off the stage. Yes, it's true; I'm completely opposed to programs like the Roast where major figures are disparaged with snide remarks. People do it, but I don't have any such majboori and I'm not comfortable projecting myself in a shallow way in order to generate content or income. Despite the fact that I had signed Jhalak rather than "Bachaao," several uninvited individuals insulted me and switched off the power to my Mike when I tried to defend myself.

Kaushik and Kavita co-hosted the show Fakebook in October. The lead part of Bhanumati in SAB TV's Dr. Bhanumati On Duty was cast on Kaushik in June 2016. She left the program in less than a month, and Debina Bonnerjee took her place. But after Kaushik left, the program struggled and was cancelled in September 2016.

In the Bollywood movie Lollipop Since 1947, Kaushik played the lead role. Anirudh Chautala's political satire movie, in which Kaushik plays actor Deepak Dobriyal's wife, is set in a lower middle-class home. Kaushik participated in Sakshi Tanwar's cookery reality series Tyohaar Ki Thaali as a celebrity guest appearance in 2017. In the Punjabi cinema industry, Kaushik made his debut with Vekh Baraatan Challiyan. (2017). Later, she and Anas Rashid co-starred in the Punjabi movies Vadhayiyaan Ji Vadhayiyaan and Nankana.

From 2018 to 2019, Kaushik hosted the crime program Savdhaan India on Star Bharat. She played Mindo in the 2019 Punjabi movie Mindo Taseeldarni. In 2019, Kaushik competed in Kitchen Champion 5, which was hosted by Arjun Bijlani and included Aamir Ali.

Kaushik participated in Season 14 of Bigg Boss as a wild card participant in October 2020. She was initially evicted but eventually returned. After a confrontation with Rubina Dilaik in November, she left the house.

Personal life

Karan Grover, a fellow television actor, and Kaushik took part in the celebrity couples dance competition Nach Baliye 3 together. In 2008, the couple decided to separate. In January 2017, she wed businessman Ronnit Biswas, who was her best friend.
