Jung Eun-chae spent her early years in London, beginning in her senior year of middle school when she was 15 years old. Career
Jung Eun-chae made her commercial modelling debut. At the 2011 6th Asia Model Festival Awards, she was named CF Model of the Year after a string of memorable commercials. She goes by a stage name rather than her real name "Jung Sol-mi" due to similarities with veteran actress Park Sol-mi. Jung made her acting debut in the supernatural thriller film Haunters after passing the audition.
Jung has since alternated between making blockbuster films like The Fatal Encounter, The King, and The Great Battle and art films like Nobody's Daughter Haewon, Hill of Freedom, and The Table. Nobody's Daughter Haewon was her breakthrough film, for which she received a slew of prestigious awards and nominations.
Jung made his television drama debut in 2011 with the KBS1 telenovela My Bittersweet Life. Three years later, she appeared in the Dr. Frost psychological thriller series. She made a big comeback to TV drama in 2018 with two series released in the same year, SBS's legal crime Return and OCN's The Guest, a drama that combines exorcism, shamanism, and procedural elements.
She was later cast as one of the main characters in the SBS TV series The King: Eternal Monarch, which premiered in 2020. According to a poll released by Cleo Singapore, she gained recognition and was named the best character.
Jung's contract with KeyEast will be renewed in August 2022.
