Lisa, a member of BLACKPINK, recently made news when she took home a solo prize at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards. The solo song "LALISA," which was nominated with SEVENTEEN's "HOT," BTS's "Yet To Come (The Most Beautiful Moment)," ITZY's "LOCO," Stray Kids' "MANIAC," and TWICE's "The Feels," made the Thai singer's fans happy when she won "Best K-Pop."
When Lisa's name was called, she looked surprised and happy at the same time. She caught onlookers off guard as she approached the stage in a stunning black gown while grinning brightly.
That's not all, though. Everyone who heard her acceptance speech was amazed by its multilingualism. Overall, it was a memorable evening for the skilled K-Pop idol!
In a recent live performance before the release of "Shut Down," Lisa and her band members discussed their feelings when their names were called that evening. There was one particular second that stood out to both Jennie and Jisoo.
When the anticipation was at its highest, they remembered how anxious Lisa was, but once she gained weight, it was as if a switch had been flipped—a confident Lisa suddenly arrived!
They were especially enthralled with her attire, which despite appearing to be slacks, had a long prepare attached to its back. They did not anticipate it.
Jennie: I really enjoyed it. To give you an example from the past, Lisa was quite anxious. But as we were making our way outside, she turned around in this costume.
Jisoo: I was unaware that her outfit might attempt this. What is that lengthy object in the back, I used to wonder.
Later, Jennie made a joke about Lisa acting nervous, but Lisa emphasised that her anxiety had actually been quite real. Jennie didn't hesitate to compliment her on a job well done, though, in addition to making fun of her.
Jisoo, on the other hand, glowed adoringly at her and said she was "very proud" when she won, to the point where she felt like a mother admiring her child.
Jennie: She performed a fantastic job and was delightful. She was just being nervous, I noticed.
Lisa: However, I used to be anxious.
Jennie: Even so, you did fantastic.
I used to be so anxious, Lisa.
Jisoo: I was really proud once. I had a maternal feeling.
Lisa: Your eyes had been wet when I saw the pictures.
Jisoo explained that there was a difference between witnessing Lisa receive recognition for her individual efforts and receiving recognition as a group when Lisa noticed that Jisoo had shed some real tears. She graciously admitted that one thing that impacted her was seeing Lisa perform.
When Jennie heard that, she said, "Yes, she grew up so well."
How much they care for and adore Lisa is clear to see! She could not possibly have asked for more helpful family members.
