JIO emergency data loan facility announced-up to 5GB packs on offer

Billionaire Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Jio has launched an Emergency Data Loan facility on Saturday, offering its phone users instant data on loan, which is payable later. Jio, India’s youngest but largest telecom operator, understands that not every user is in a position to instantly purchase a data top-up due to ongoing financial strains, sources said.

Each emergency data loan pack that carries 1GB of high-speed data access is values at Rs. 11 and is valid until the validity of the base plan, which means you can continue to use the additional data until the completion of your base plan’s validity. It is also important to note that the emergency data loan facility can only be availed if you have an active base plan in place.

Users need to have the MyJio app installed on their phones to get the emergency data loan on their Jio connections.

Jio users have already started experiencing better network connectivity and higher speeds. Many users are able to consume their daily data quota much faster and are left without high speed data for the rest of the day. Jio understands that not every user is in a position to instantly purchase a data top-up due to various reasons”, a source said.
