Iron Man Will Be the First in a Multi-Title Action-Adventure Game Collaboration Announced by EA and Marvel

In a long-term partnership, Electronic Arts (EA) and Marvel will work together to create at least three new action-adventure video games for consoles and the PC.

One of these games, a single-player, third-person, action-adventure Iron Man game by Motive Studios, is currently under production. Each of these games will have an original story set in the Marvel universe. That was obviously stated a few weeks ago, but the characters that will be the centre of the other two games are still unknown.

This is a great milestone for our developers as well as our players and fans, said Laura Miele, COO of EA. "We have been longtime admirers of Marvel and their tremendous leadership," she said. "We are excited to welcome Marvel into the EA family of creators and are confident that this partnership will result in outstanding experiences for our users."

He said, "We're excited to watch players' reactions as they dress as Iron Man and do the heroic feats that this Super Hero is known for."
Meanwhile, Jay Ong, executive vice president of Marvel Games, adds: "Working with Electronic Arts will help us realise our goal of finding best-in-class teams that can take our heroes on heroic journeys in ways they haven't before.

"We take pride in working collaboratively and enthusiastically with developers to give them the flexibility to produce something truly extraordinary and deeply original. With their Iron Man video game, the Motive team is beginning to work on that, and we can't wait for players to find out more in the distant future."

The Iron Man video game, which was created in association with Marvel, will have a unique tale that draws on the character's rich history while channelling Tony Stark's complexity, charisma, and creative genius. This will give players a genuine sense of what it's like to play as Iron Man.

In addition to Ian Frazier, Maelenn Lumineau, and JF Poirier at the studio, the team is directed by Olivier Proulx, who has expertise working on previous Marvel titles like Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy.

We're certain that these Marvel characters are in good hands with EA because of their work on titles like Battlefield, Need for Speed, The Sims, FIFA, Star Wars Battlefront, and Jedi: Fallen Order. However, if they want to equal what Insomniac has accomplished with the Spider-Man franchise, they will have tough competition.
