The 42-year-old former basketball player initially took to social media on Monday (17.10.22), where he shared a photo of himself with his "best friend" ex-wife but was met with backlash from followers. The former basketball player divorced reality star Khloe, 38, in 2016 after seven years of marriage due to his substance abuse issues.
The post's caption read: "I miss my closest friend. memories for a lifetime."
The NBA star added that he will "pay" for the "mistakes" he made in his marriage for the rest of his life after receiving criticism for the post. The NBA star is the father of Destiny, 24, and Lamar Jr., 20, with ex-girlfriend Liza Morales. Khloe is the mother of True, 4, and a two-month-old son with ex-partner Tristan Thompson.
He stated: "Like everyone else, I am a human being. I was unaware that we were not permitted to miss anyone, regardless of faults. The fact that I let people down and will always pay for it is understandable, though. Facebook family, good night."
Lamar recently acknowledged that he found it difficult to watch his ex-wife distraught on the newest episode of "The Kardashians," as she was trying to have a child with her on-and-off boyfriend Tristan Thompson before it was revealed that he had fathered a kid with Maralee Nichols.
He stated: "I found it challenging to see that. I'll always find it difficult to see someone I love so much in such a miserable state. She cried on the show, and everyone started asking her questions and doing other things like that. She undoubtedly had a difficult time during that. I merely want her to be content. I'm done now."
