ICC Mens ODI Player Rankings-Boult remains the top as Woakes reaches career best third

England all-rounder Chris Woakes has achieved a career-high third spot among ODI bowlers after picking up six wickets in two games against Sri Lanka last week. Woakes, who won the match award for his 4 for 18 in the opening game, jumped four positions to slot in behind Trent Boult and Mehidy Hasan. Woakes previous best in the bowler's ranking was the No.4 spot which he reached in September 2020.

Other England fast bowlers David Willey and Tom Curran too, have gained in the latest men's weekly ranking update. Willey has moved up 13 places to 37th position after Player of the series effort of 9 wickets that included a haul of 4 for 64 in the second match, while Tom Curran's 4 wickets in two matches see him advance 20 places to 68th position.

Among batters, Joe Root moved up two places to the 13th position and Eoin Morgan from 26th to 25th. For Sri Lanka, Dhananjaya de Silva gained ten slots to reach the 74th rank.

In the ICC Men’s T20I Player Rankings, South Africa's Quinton De Kock has advanced nine places to 13th after aggregating 255 runs in their five-match series against the West Indies. Aiden Markram is up to 23 places to 19th position while George Linde up 30 places to 43rd and Lungi Ngidi up 25 places to 56th, are among the bowlers to gain their 3-2 win.

For West Indies, Evin Lewis moved up from 10th to 9th among batters and Dwayne Bravo jumped from No.95 to 44 among bowlers after his tally of 10 wickets in the series.
