Hina Dilpazeer Khan, also known as Hina Dilpazeer (Urdu: ), is a Pakistani actress, comedian, and host. She is well-known for her comedic roles and is widely regarded as one of Pakistan's most popular comedians and actresses. In 2008, Khan made her professional screen debut as Saeeda in Fasih Bari Khan's telefilm Burns Road Ki Neelofar, for which she received the 2009 Kara Film Festival award for Best Female Actor in a Supporting Role. She then appeared in a number of television films, including PTV's drama serial Thora Sa Asman, which earned her widespread recognition and critical acclaim, and the drama Quddusi Sahab Ki Bewa, in which she played 30+ characters and earned acclaim as one of the finest actors. She is best known for her role as Momo in the Pakistani sitcom Bulbulay.
Dilpazeer's performance as Momo in the sitcom Bulbulay spawned a cult following, propelling her to international acclaim and recognition. She received her first Lux Style Award nomination for Best TV Actress - Satellite for her performance in Tum Ho Ke Chup at the 11th Lux Style Awards. She received critical acclaim for her performance in the character comedy Quddusi Sahab Ki Bewah, in which she played twelve different characters, including Shakooran and Rooh Afza, earning her the title of "most versatile" actor of recent times, as well as her second Lux Style Award nomination for Best TV Actress - Satellite at the 12th Lux Style Awards. Annie Ki Ayegi Baraat, Ladies Park, Khatoon Manzil, Mithu Aur Aapa, and Googly Mohalla are among Dilpazeer's other notable serials.
Private life
Dilpazeer was born in Karachi, Pakistan to a Pakistani family. After completing her primary and secondary education in Karachi, she and her family relocated to the UAE due to her father's employment. Dilpazeer returned to Karachi in 2006 after spending several years in Dubai. Dilpazeer was closest to her father in her family. She remembers him as her "friend" and attributes many of her characteristics to him. Dilpazeer enjoys poetry and music in addition to television and theatre and idolises Roshan Ara Begum, Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, Master Madan, and Begum Akhtar.
Career
Dilpazeer pursued a career in radio while in the UAE. She created and delivered radio plays. After returning to Pakistan, she began her career in the Pakistani television industry in 2006, playing Saeeda in ARY Digital's telefilm Burns Road Ki Nilofar. Her performance in Burns Road Ki Nilofar was praised by both critics and the general public.
Dilpazeer enjoys theatre and has appeared in several plays, including National Academy of Performing Arts' Dil Ka Kya Rang Karoon.
