Helen Mirren will visit 1923 for the prequel to Yellowstone.

According to Taylor Sheridan's Yellowstone TV universe, "The years start coming and they don't stop coming," as sang by Smash Mouth, seems to apply. In 1923, the newest "origin tale" for Sheridan's record-breaking series following 1883, a one-off prequel starring Tim McGraw and Faith Hill as James and Margaret Dutton, Paramount+ has revealed that Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford will join a new generation of the Dutton family. Four decades later, Jacob and Cara Dutton are the new family patriarchs, and Ford and Mirren are still in charge of the ranch. Despite not having any children of their own, they must cope with a large number of individuals. According to Vanity Fair, James Badge Dale will portray John Dutton Sr., a rancher who we first met in 1883 when he was a young lad. His wife Emma will be portrayed by Marley Shelton, while their son Jack will be portrayed by Darren Mann. Other new characters include Banner Creighton (Jerome Flynn), a Scottish shepherd who heads a rival group of ranchers, Elizabeth Strafford (Michelle Randolph), a "firebrand" set to marry into the Dutton family, and Zane (Brian Geraghty), a foreman who is loyal to the Duttons despite not being a blood relative. Teonna Rainwater, a young woman attending a government-run boarding school, is played by Aminah Nieves to complete the cast. November 13 saw the release of a new teaser.
The early 20th century, when pandemics, a record drought, the repeal of Prohibition, and the Great Depression all afflicted the mountain west and the Duttons who called it home, will be "explored" in the film 1923, according to a press release. Both physical and moral difficulties will be faced by the protagonists, as in the rest of the Yellowstone-verse. MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios, and Bosque Ranch Productions will collaborate to make the prequel. We're relieved that it sounds like it'll be quite simple to see the upcoming show after what occurred with Yellowstone. Vanity Fair reports that 1923 will begin to stream on Paramount+ on December 18. We'll eagerly anticipate hearing Mirren and Ford's best western accents till then.
