Evelyn Lakshmi Sharma is a German actress and model who predominantly acts in Hindi-language Indian films. She made her feature film debut in the 2006 film Turn Left and her Bollywood debut in the 2012 film From Sydney with Love. She rose to stardom after appearing in the 2013 film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.

Background and early life

Evelyn Lakshmi Sharma grew up in Frankfurt, Hesse, West Germany, the daughter of an Indian Punjabi Hindu father and a German mother. She is a German citizen.

Tushaan Bhindi, an Indo-Australian dental surgeon and entrepreneur, proposed to Sharma in October 2019. She married Bhindi in Brisbane, Australia on May 15, 2021. That November, their first child, a daughter, was born.

Career

Sharma's acting career began with a small role in the 2006 American film Turn Left. She made her Bollywood debut as Lubaina Snyder in the 2012 film From Sydney with Love. She appeared in the film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani the following year, and her performance was lauded in Nautanki Saala! and Issaq. She portrayed Janet D'souza in the 2014 sleeper hit Yaariyan. Sharma launched her first music song, "Something Beautiful," in August 2014, which was produced by Brooklyn Shanti. She's also the host of her own travel show, Life Mein Ek Baar. She starred in Devang Dholakia's Kuch Kuch Locha Hai, which was released on May 8, 2015, alongside Navdeep Chabbra, Sunny Leone, and Ram Kapoor. She also appeared in the film Ishqedarriyaan, which was released on May 29, 2015. In 2019, she appeared in Saaho and Kissebaaz.
