Eun Ji-won Wiki, Age, Biography, Height, Wife, Family, Images, And More

Ji-won Eun (Hangul:, Hanja: ) is a South Korean rapper and entertainer who was born on June 8, 1978. He is the leader of the Sechs Kies () first generation idol group.

He is regarded as a K-pop ancestor, having paved the way for hip-hop in the Korean pop scene. He is also regarded as an entertainment icon, having earned the nickname "Eun Choding" (Elementary Eun) for his childish on-screen persona on 1 Night 2 Days. He continues to appear in shows such as Fresh Journey to the West, in addition to his music.

Early years

Eun Jiwon was born on June 8, 1978 in Seoul, South Korea. Kim Seong Ah, his mother, was a member of the female duo "Lily Sisters."
From Grade 9 to 12, Eun studied at the Hawaiian Mission Academy in Hawaii. He went to school with Kang Sung-hun, a former Sechs Kies member. He began working as a cafe DJ as a teen in Hawaii, where he developed an interest in music and was recruited by DSP Media.
He is related to former South Korean Presidents Park Chung-hee and Park Geun-hye.

Sechs Kies' career spans 1997 to 2000.

Sechs Kies is the main article.

On April 15, 1997, Eun Jiwon made her Sechskies debut with their first single, "School Anthem," on the KMTV Show! Music Tank. The group was well received and rose to fame with their hit songs PomSaengPomSa and Couple. Due to back-to-back schedules and little rest, Eun described his time with Sechs Kies as hectic.

Eun made his film debut in 1998, playing the lead role in the film Seventeen, which also starred fellow Sechs Kies members.

Sechs Kies announced their disbandment on May 18, 2000. Despite their success, the group decided to disband with the hope of reuniting in the future. Following their breakup, the band released a final song titled "Thanks" online.

See Sechs Kies for more information on his history.

Solo debut and breakthrough from 2000 to 2004

Eun debuted as a solo artist on October 27, 2000, with the self-produced mini album G. He continued to release dance music with the March 29, 2001 release of G Pop. Following the success of his first full-length album, Eun began to refine his style with his second full-length album, Heavy G, his first full-length hip-hop album.

On September 6, 2003, Waltz Music Entertainment released his third album, Drunk in Hip Hop (including the title track "Drunk in Melody"). The album marked Eun's entry into the hip-hop scene, solidifying his status as a rap artist and allowing him to shed his idol image. At the 2003 SBS Gayo Awards and the KMTV Korean Music Awards, Eun won the Hip Hop Award for "Drunk in Melody."

Eun repackaged his third album, which included alternate versions of his first solo album's "Mi Casa Ro" and "Never, Ever."

Acting and Hip-Hop from 2004 to 2006.

Eun appeared in the 2004 romantic comedy Marrying a High-School Girl ( ), which was released on December 23, 2004. The film received negative reviews and was chastised for its absurd plotline. Eun described how he was forced into the role, and how he shaved his head in protest of doing the film.

Eun was a member of Tiger JK's hip-hop crew The Movement Crew (), and she performed at the group concert on May 13, 2006. Tiger JK is a major influence on Eun's musical style. His songs frequently feature members such as Drunken Tiger, Tasha (Yoon Mi Rae), Dynamic Duo, and Bobby Kim.

Variety Television and GYM Entertainment from 2007 to 2010.

Eun returned with a single, "Adios," which marked the beginning of his relationship with Latin-inspired music. On October 30, 2007, his album Love, Death, Introspection ( ) was released, featuring four new songs and an instrumental version of "Adios." Eun joined the 13 Creative Unit, a subsidiary of Eyagi Entertainment, at this time.

Eun joined the KBS reality-variety show1 Night 2 Days as a founding member after steadily appearing in small entertainment television roles. The show received widespread acclaim, and Eun became a household name. He was praised for his comedic persona as "Eun Choding," and he pursued a career as a variety entertainer.

Eun left CH Entertainment in early 2009 to start his own company, GYM Entertainment.

Platonic, Eun's fifth full-length studio album, is an electronic dance album. The title track, "Siren," was written as a tribute to his fans as his "last" dance song. He would, however, continue to release his single While Buzzed, an electronic dance song.

Clover and HotSechGodRG from 2011 to 2013.

On March 31, 2011, Eun Jiwon founded the Clover group, which included members Gilme and Mr. Tyfoon. Their first single, "La Vida Loca," was well received, reaching the top of the Cyworld Music Chart just two weeks after its release. Clover released another digital single, "A Guy Who I Know ( )," on September 29, 2011. Clover received the Hip-Hop/Rap Award at the 21st Seoul Music Awards in January 2012. Clover released its second digital single, "Pork Soup ()," on August 14, 2012. Clover's third digital single, "Trickling ()," was released on November 18, 2013.

Eun, Chun Myung-hoon, Tony An, Moon Hee-joon, and Danny Ahn appeared on a new QTV show called Handsome Boys of the 20th Century in 2013. The show was a performance project that resulted in the formation of the group HotSechGodRG, which was a portmanteau of each member's previous idol group names. The show was well-received, and HotSechGodRG and the group continued to collaborate outside of the main show. They appeared on a variety of entertainment shows, including Immortal Songs: Singing the Legend, Happy Together, and Hwasin - Controller of the Heart ().

HotSechGodRG announced in May 2014 that he would return for a new show in July. W.I.S.H. (Where is My Super Hero?) starred Moon Hee-joon, Eun Ji-won, Danny Ahn, and Chun Myung Hoon and aired on OnStyle from July 19, 2014 to August 9, 2014.

Sechs Kies reunion in 2016

Sechs Kies held a reunion concert on September 10 and 11 at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena for the Saturday, Saturday's, I Am A Singer segment of the show Infinite Challenge. The group reformed and signed a deal with YG Entertainment. The group's reunion went viral, attracting both old and new fans, resulting in their comeback concert tickets selling out in less than five minutes.

On October 7, SechsKies released a new digital single titled "Three Words ( )" which quickly topped all eight major music charts, achieving all-kill status. It also charted high in Taiwan's Asian music charts and on global iTunes, and it is among the top tracks on iTunes charts in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and other places.

YG announced on November 23 that Sechs Kies' new album will be released on December 1, 2016. The new album "2016 Re-ALBUM" contains ten of SechsKies' previous hit songs that have been rearranged and remastered by YG producers, as well as a special gift for fans.
Sechs Kies won several awards at the end of the year, including Click! The Star Wars Awards Hall of Fame, as well as the sixth Gaon Chart Music Awards The 8th Melon Music Awards Hall of Fame, the 31st Golden Disc Awards Best Male Group Performance, and the 26th Seoul Music Awards Bonsang.

The 20th Anniversary, 2017-2018

Eun Jiwon announced the reopening of his official fan club '1KYNE' on March 18. On March 28, at 12 KST, he launched the official fanclub, and over 30,000 fans logged onto the website, causing the site to crash before they could register.

Sechs Kies' album The 20th Anniversary will be released on April 28, 2017, according to YG. Along with the album's release, the album topped multiple charts around the world, cementing their status as hallyu stars. Sechs Kies continued to have consecutive wins on MBC Music Core for the title track "Be Well," and also won #1 on KBS Music Bank.

Eun Ji Won officially signed an individual contract with YG Entertainment on August 16.

2019: Solo return

On June 6, 2019, it was announced that Eun would make a solo return to the music scene on June 27 with his sixth album G1. "I'm On Fire," featuring female vocalist Blue.D, was produced by YG producer Future Bounce and label-mate Winner's Mino, with lyrics written by Mino and Eun Ji-won himself.

Current Lineup and Future Plans, 2020-Present

Following Kang Sung-departure hoon's from the group, Sechs Kies released their first mini album "All For You" on January 28, 2020. The band began to take a more relaxed approach to music, gravitating towards ballads and old school R&B. On Mnet M Countdown, the song came in first place.

With the help of Yoo Hee-yeol and their appearance on the variety show Three Meals for Four, the four starred in the project Don't Look Back, which documented the making of the digital single "Don't Look Back," which was released on February 5, 2021. The song topped major Korean music charts such as Bugs, Genie, and Vibe.

As of 2022, Eun is still working as a variety television entertainer, currently appearing on shows such as Master in the House, Things That Make Me Groove Season 2, and Naked World History.

Private life

2010: Wedding

Eun announced in February 2010 that he would marry his first love, a woman two years his senior. They had known each other since 1994 and reconnected 13 years later, eventually marrying on April 20, 2010. Eun Jiwon and football player Lee Dong-Gook became brothers-in-law through marriage.

Divorce announcement in 2013

Eun announced on February 28, 2013, that he and his wife divorced in August 2012 due to personality differences.
