Esra Ronabar is a Turkish actress who was born on July 19, 1978.

Life and work

Ronabar was born in Demiş in 1978. She studied chemistry at Ankara University before switching to acting classes. Altan Erkekli was one of his professors. She then collaborated briefly with Rutkay Aziz and Metin Balay. Ronabar earned a degree in theatre studies from the School of Language and History - Geography. She worked for Ankara Art Theatre from 1997 to 1998, appearing in the plays Elmadaki Barş and Küçük Karabalk. She worked as an assistant director on an adaptation of the play Akrep written by Eşber Yamurdereli and directed by Rutkay Aziz. In 1998, she made her television debut in the lead role of Kader Ayrsa Bile, alongside Ümit Olcay.

Ronabar appeared in seven different commercials for various brands, including Ülker Cream Chocolate and Alldays. She portrayed Cansu in A.G.A. in 2003. In the same year, she was recognized for her performance as Birnur Goyal in Birstanbul Masal. In 2005, she was cast as Bahar, a pediatrician, in the Turkish film Beyaz Gelincik. She appeared in the Son Osmanl series the same year.

In July 2006, Ronabar married actor Barş Falay.

She appeared in the drama film Hayattan Korkma, directed and written by Berrin Daçnar, in 2007. Between 2007 and 2008, she was a member of the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality City Theatre, where she appeared in adaptations of The Servant of Two Masters and Oyun Nasl Oynanmal. In 2008, she received the smet Küntay Judges Special Award for her performance as Sevil in Oyun Nasl Oynanmal, written by Vasf ngören and directed by Mer Akgüllü.

Her son Mavi Rüzgâr was born in 2009.

Ronabar began working for Istanbul City Theatres in 2010 after portraying the character of ahane in the Küstüm içei series. She was there with the casts of Les Liaisons Dangereuses and Dünyann Ortasnda Bir Yer. She won the Best Actress award at the 36th smet Küntay Theatre Awards in 2011 for her performance as Ahten in Dünyann Ortasnda Bir Yer, written by Zen Yula and directed by M. Nurullah Tuncer. In Uçurum in 2012, she played a dealer named Nur Sertaç.

Ronabar was cast as the lead in the fantastic drama series Sana Bir Sr Vereceim in 2013. After playing Sevgi Gündodu for 12 episodes, she was injured in a car accident in Bahçeköy on her way to the filming set in September 2013. Ronabar underwent a 5.5-hour operation after suffering numerous fractures in the crash. The platinum attached to her arm broke during her recovery from another accident in January 2014. She was forced to leave the cast of Sana Bir Sr Vereceim due to her injuries.
