Elizabeth Gillies Wiki, Age, Biography, Height, Boyfriend, Family, Images, And More

Elizabeth Gillies Wiki, Age, Biography, Height, Boyfriend, Family, Images, And More

Elizabeth Egan Gillies is an American actress and singer who was born on July 26, 1993. She rose to fame for her lead roles as Fallon Carrington on The CW's relaunch of Dynasty (2017–2022) and Jade West in the Nickelodeon series Victorious (2010–2013).

At the age of 15, Gillies made her Broadway debut as Lucy in the musical 13. She made her debut on television in The Black Donnellys (2007), and from 2010 to 2013, she starred as Jade West in the Nickelodeon sitcom Victorious. She voiced Daphne in the Nickelodeon animated series Winx Club from 2011 to 2014, and she starred in the FX comedy Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll from 2015 to 2016. A revival of the 1980s television program of the same name, Dynasty (2017–2022) on The CW stars Gillies as billionaire heiress and energy executive Fallon Carrington. Additionally, she has acted in a number of feature and television movies, such as the comedy Vacation (2015), the black comedy thriller Arizona (2018), the horror movie Animal (2014), and the television movie Killing Daddy (2014).

In 2011, Gillies made her Victorious singing debut, performing "Give It Up" with Ariana Grande. Along with Victoria Justice, she co-wrote and released two other songs during her time on the show, "You Don't Know Me" and "Take a Hint," both of which are featured on the Victorious soundtrack. She worked with Seth MacFarlane to release an album named Songs from Home (2020) on Spotify during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Early Years

Dave and Lorrie Gillies welcomed their first child, Elizabeth Egan, into the world on July 26, 1993 in Haworth, New Jersey. She has a 1996-born younger brother. According to Gillies, she has Italian great-grandmother and grandmother in addition to Irish ancestry. She participated in an online high school program throughout her first year of high school before dropping out to pursue performing.

Career 2005–2009: earliest work

At age 12, Gillies started attending local open casting calls, which was the beginning of her acting career. She soon started to appear in commercials for brands like Virgin Mobile. Gillies' first television appearance was in three episodes of The Black Donnellys as a recurrent character. She claims that because her parents thought the final program was inappropriate for her at the time, she was not permitted to view the entire episode.

She had supporting roles in The Clique, Harold, and Locker 514 in 2008. Alongside her future Victorious co-star Ariana Grande, she was also cast as Lucy in a Goodspeed production of Jason Robert Brown's new musical 13. Later that year, 13 moved to Broadway, becoming the first show on Broadway with a cast and band made up exclusively of teenagers. Gillies stayed on with the show until January 4, 2009, when it was shut down.

2010-2014: Successful and revolutionary

Gillies reunited her 13 co-star Grande when she was cast as the bad girl and occasionally antagonist Jade West in the Nickelodeon sitcom Victorious in 2010. The show centers on teens attending a performing arts high school in Hollywood. Gillies praised her Victorious persona, saying, "It's fantastic. I always remark that Jade is the 'bad' girl in so many ways, not just the'mean' girl, which is what I love to portray. She is not simply entirely psychopathic; she also possesses many human traits. She treats her partner nicely. Playing a character with nuance is enjoyable. The program began airing on March 27, 2010. Gillies appeared in many songs on the Victorious and Victorious 2.0 soundtracks while she was a cast member of Victorious, including the duets "Give It Up" (with Grande) and "Take a Hint" (with Victoria Justice). Additionally, she composed and produced the song "You Don't Know Me" for a Victorious episode; it was later included in Victorious 3.0.

She contributed her skills to various Nick programs, including the Winx Club reboot on Nickelodeon, where she voiced the character Daphne and recorded the theme song, "We Are Believix." She additionally participated on BrainSurge, Figure It Out, and a Big Time Rush episode as a participant. Gillies started appearing in minor guest appearances outside of Nickelodeon in 2012. White Collar and The Exes are a few of notable appearances. It was revealed that Gillies was creating an alternative rock album in July 2012. After four seasons, Victorious ended on February 2, 2013. Gillies took a time off from acting when the series was canceled.

She participated in a reading of the musical Jawbreaker in Manhattan in 2013 and was cast as Courtney in it. The Broadway production of the musical never happened. For Grande's Christmas Kisses EP, Gillies and Grande recorded a duet of "Santa Baby" on December 10, 2013. In 2014, Gillies played Mandy in the horror movie Animal and Callie Ross in the Lifetime drama Killing Daddy. Produced by Drew Barrymore, Animal was shot in Manchester, Connecticut, over the summer of 2013. Keke Palmer, a former Winx Club co-star of Gillies', also appears in the movie, which debuted on iTunes on June 17, 2014.

2015–present: Additional action

Gillies was chosen to play Heather in the Vacation reboot in 2015. The movie was released to the public on July 29, 2015. She was then chosen to play Gigi, an aspiring singer and the daughter of a former rock star named Johnny Rock (played by the show's creator, Denis Leary), in the comedy series Sex, Drugs, and Rock & Roll. Although the show's July 16, 2015, premiere received mixed reviews, Gillies' portrayal of Gigi was praised. The sitcom was inadvertently cancelled when FX decided not to renew it for a third season on September 9, 2016.

In 2017, Gillies was given the role of Fallon Carrington in the revival of the 1980s television series Dynasty that airs on The CW. Near the end of the second season, Nicollette Sheridan left the role of Fallon's mother, Alexis Carrington, and Gillies temporarily took over while still playing Fallon. In the 2018 dark-comedy thriller Arizona, Gillies played Kelsey. It had its world premiere at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival before receiving a theatrical distribution and a direct-to-video release.

During the Atlanta stop of Ariana Grande's Sweetener World Tour on November 19, 2019, Gillies and Matt Bennett made a surprise appearance. During the performance, Grande and Bennett sang "I Think You're Swell," while Gillies and Grande sang "Give It Up," both songs from Victorious. In 2020, during the COVID-19 epidemic, Gillies and Seth MacFarlane worked together on a set of songs for an eight-song Spotify collection named Songs from Home. Gillies was announced as the voice of the title character in the 2022 superhero film Catwoman: Hunted in 2021.

Private life

Gillies wed American music producer Michael Corcoran on August 8, 2020, in a discreet ceremony in Chesterfield Township, New Jersey. They are Atlanta, Georgia, residents.
