Dong Jie (born April 19, 1980) is a Chinese actress and dancer.
Dong made her film debut as a blind child tormented by her stepmother in Zhang Yimou's Happy Times (2000) (Yimou girl). Zhang chose Dong after conducting an Internet casting call. She has since appeared in films and television shows such as Sky Lovers (2002), Endless Love (2004), 2046 (2004), and Dragon Tiger Gate (2004). (2006). Her most well-known part to date is "Leng Qingqiu" in Li Dawei's The Story of a Noble Family (2003), an adaptation of Zhang Henshui's novel.
Private life
Dong married actor Pan Yueming in 2008, and the couple had a son a year later, but they split in 2012 when Dong accused Pan of being a gambler.
