Still not tired of watching police dramas? The good news is that a new one will be released on Sunday night! Another programme involving law enforcement and criminals with a New York setting is East New York. This one takes place at the 74th precinct in... East New York, Brooklyn, you guessed it.
Regina Haywood, the freshly promoted Deputy Inspector who serves as the commanding officer, is portrayed by The Leftovers actress Amanda Warren. Jimmy Smits, Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Kevin Rankin, Richard Kind, Elizabeth Rodriguez, and Olivia Luccardi are all present with Warren.
With the NCIS series still running strong and even the more recent FBI, which has already started a spinoff series of its own, police procedurals are CBS' bread and butter. Therefore, it's possible that CBS will approve West New York if East New York succeeds.

Does Netflix offer East New York?
Expect East New York won't be on Netflix, at least not in the United States, as it is a CBS series. In case you're interested in watching comparable stuff, the good news is that Netflix is streaming a number of crime television episodes. Currently streaming on Netflix are The Blacklist, NCIS, LA's Finest, Designated Survivor, and How to Get Away with Murder.
On Sunday, October 2 at 9:30 p.m. ET on CBS, East New York makes its debut. It appears the NFL overrun is the reason for the 9:30 airing. After then, new episodes of East New York will air every Sunday at 9:00 p.m. ET.
On the Paramount+ streaming service, episodes will also be broadcast live, and after their debut, you may watch them on demand on the app.
