Dipika Kakar Ibrahim (born August 6, 1986) is an Indian television actress. She is most known for her roles in Sasural Simar Ka and Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum as Simar and Sonakshi, respectively. She competed in the reality show Bigg Boss 12 and won the competition in 2018. She also took part in Nach Baliye 8.
Early years
Dipika was born in Pune, India on August 6, 1986. Kakar graduated from the University of Mumbai after finishing her school level exams administered by the Central Board of Secondary Education. After finishing her schooling, she began working as a flight attendant with Jet Airways for nearly three years. She resigned and went into the entertainment sector due of health difficulties.
Personal life:
Kakar married Raunak Samson in 2011, but the couple divorced in 2015. Then, on 22 February 2018, she married Shoaib Ibrahim, her co-star from Sasural Simar Ka, in Bhopal. She became a Muslim and changed her name to Faiza.
Career
Kakar began her work as an Air Hostess in Mumbai for three years. Then, in 2010, she made her television debut in Neer Bhare Tere Naina Devi as Lakshmi. She later played Rekha in Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo.
She played Simar Bhardwaj in Colors TV's Sasural Simar Ka from 2011 till 2017. Kakar appeared on the celebrity dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8 in 2015. In 2017, she appeared alongside Shoaib Ibrahim in Star Plus' Nach Baliye 8. She then starred in Entertainment Ki Raat.
Kakar appeared on Bigg Boss 12 in October 2018. She was crowned season winner on December 30, 2018.
She played Sonakshi Rastogi opposite Karan Grover in Star Plus's Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum in 2019 and 2020.
