Digangana Suryavanshi (born October 15, 1997) is an Indian actor, singer, and novelist best known for her work in Hindi and Telugu films. Suryavanshi began her career in Hindi television and then appeared in films. 'Veera' in the StarPlus TV series Ek Veer Ki Ardaas...Veera was her breakout role. In 2015, she appeared on the reality show Bigg Boss 9. Her Bollywood debut was in FryDay (2018), her Telugu debut was in Hippi (2019), and her Tamil debut was in Dhanusu Raasi Neyargale. (2019).
Suryavanshi grew up as the sole child of Neeraj and Sarita Suryavanshi. She finished her 12th board exams at Mithibai College, where she was studying during the filming of Ek Veer Ki Ardaas...Veera. Digangana is an MBA student at Narsee Monjee College in Mumbai.
Career
Suryavanshi began her career as a child performer at the age of seven, making her television debut in 2002 with the series Kya Hadsaa Kya Haqeeqat. Suryavanshi created, composed, and sang "I'm missing you" when she was 14 years old, dedicating it to her maternal grandmother. Suryavanshi has also appeared in series such as Shakuntala (2009), Krishna Arjun, and Ruk Jaana Nahin as a supporting actor. (2011–12). Suryavanshi got her major break as the title character in the StarPlus soap opera Ek Veer Ki Ardaas...Veera (2012-15). She was the youngest celebrity contestant on the reality show Bigg Boss in 2015, at the age of 17. On December 7, 2015, she was ousted from the show. Suryavanshi played with Mumbai Warriors in Season I of the Indian sports reality television show Box Cricket League, and Mumbai Tigers in Season II.
Suryavanshi made his Bollywood debut with the films FryDay and Jalebi. Both movies were released on October 12, 2018. Suryavanshi co-starred with Govinda in the film Rangeela Raja, which was released on January 18, 2019.
Suryavanshi starred as the lead actress in Krishnan K.T. Nagarajan's Telugu film Hippi. Hemanth Kumar, a journalist for Firstpost.com, stated that Suryavanshi "is good in her role and she might be the only one who took her role far too seriously in the film." From her first scene to the final scene, she's constantly good in terms of her body language and the attitude that the part demanded."
