Career
Melnikova made her debut in 2006.She was the lead actress in the film Cinderella 44.Everything begins with a desire.It was published in 2008.Her work in this film won her two nominations.The aspiring actor portrayed Cinderella, a 14-year-old regular adolescent who is weird, dreamy, and continually finds herself in bizarre and unique situations.Melnikova received awards for Best Female Child Role at the XVII Open Film Festival of CIS Countries "Kinoshock - 2008" and Best Actress in a Children's Film at the XII All-Russian Festival of Visual Arts for this role.
However, the actress rose to prominence in 2007.In the TV series Daddy's Daughters, she portrayed Eugenia "Zhenya" Vasnetsova, the most athletic of the daughters.
Darya appeared in the 2009 film Ash Waltz as well as two television series: The Rules of Theft and That's Life.In the same year, she enrolled at Moscow's Shchukin Theater School.Melnikova has been named the face of L'Oréal.The actress appeared in a commercial for L'Oréal Paris Pure Zone.
Darya adores photography and plans to publish a book of her stories and photographs titled Pictures to Draw Attention.
