American actress Danielle Nicole Panabaker was born on September 19, 1987. She started performing when she was a kid and rose to fame for her parts in the Disney movies Stuck in the Suburbs (2004), Sky High (2005), Read It and Weep (2006), and the HBO miniseries Empire Falls (2005). She received three Young Artist Awards: one for her ensemble work in the family comedy movie Yours, Mine, and Ours (2005), one for her lead role in the television movie Searching for David's Heart, and one for her guest appearance in an episode of the legal drama television series The Guardian in 2004.
Panabaker is known as a scream queen and is best known for her roles in the horror movies Friday the 13th (2009), The Crazies (2010), John Carpenter's The Ward (2010), and Piranha 3DD (2012). She first gained wide recognition as a cast member in the CBS legal drama series Shark (2006–2008).
After playing recurring characters on the television programmes Necessary Roughness (2011–2013), Bones (2012–2013), and Justified (2014), Panabaker had a cameo appearance as Caitlin Snow on Arrow (The CW) in April 2014. Then, the character was separated off into The Flash's main cast, which made its debut that October. In addition to her role as Snow, Panabaker started portraying the character's alter persona, Killer Frost, starting with the second season of the show. This led to later guest roles on Arrow, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow. Panabaker received five Teen Choice Award nominations for her portrayal of Frost on The Flash, and she took home the 2021 Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress on Television.
Early Life
Harold Panabaker and Donna Panabaker welcomed their first child in Augusta, Georgia. Kay Panabaker, her younger sister, was also an actress and is today a zoologist. The family lived in South Carolina, Pennsylvania, and, for a brief period during Panabaker's kindergarten year, Orange, Texas as her father's sales job carried them across the nation. At a summer camp, she took a theatre class where she fell in love with acting. At the age of 12, she began performing in community theatres and later tried out for commercials.
Panabaker attended Neuqua Valley High School and Crone Middle School after relocating to Naperville, Illinois, in 2000. She was a member of the speech team at both institutions. She was 14 years old when she completed high school. Up until the age of fifteen, Panabaker also attended ballet and pointe lessons. Panabaker, her sister, and their mother moved to Los Angeles, California, in 2003 to pursue an acting career because they believed it was the only way to get acting opportunities on a regular basis. She studied acting at Glendale Community College. She received her associate's degree in 2005 and was listed on the national Dean's List. She started her senior year at the University of California, Los Angeles in 2006, and she graduated in June 2007 with a bachelor's degree in arts while once more making the Dean's List.
Career
After beginning her career in commercials, Panabaker transitioned to television, landing roles in The Guardian (for which she received a Young Artist Award), Malcolm in the Middle, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Medium, and Summerland, as well as the Disney Channel Original Movie Stuck in the Suburbs. She also starred in the well-liked miniseries Empire Falls and the Lifetime Television projects Sex and the Single Mum and Mum at Sixteen. As it gave her the self-assurance to pursue her career, she views Empire Falls as her big break. Panabaker also played musical theatre roles in stage performances of West Side Story, Pippin, Once Upon a Time, and Beauty Lou and the Country Beast. She appeared in the ABC movie "Searching for David's Heart" in 2004. Sky High and Yours, Mine & Ours, two extensively seen theatrical releases from 2005, both included Panabaker as a co-star. In the 2008 movie Home of the Giants, she played the following role. Additionally, she played a supporting part in the movie Mr. Brooks. She portrays Is, a different Jamie from the one Kay Panabaker, her sister, played in the Disney Channel original film Read It and Weep.
In the CBS television drama Shark from 2006 to 2008, Panabaker played Julie Stark, the protagonist's daughter. Panabaker portrayed Jenna, a pivotal figure in the Friday the 13th remake, in 2009. The Crazies and The Ward were the next movies in which Panabaker acted.
In the 2011 Hallmark Channel film The Shunning, which was based on the Beverly Lewis novel, Panabaker played Katie Lapp, the main character. Due to a schedule difficulty, she was unable to repeat her part in the 2013 sequel The Confession, and the part had to be filled by another actor. She appeared in the 2013 Hallmark Channel film Nearlyweds. On May 5, 2013, Panabaker performed at Cedering Fox's WordTheatre alongside actors such Philip Baker Hall, Bill Pullman, and Maggie Siff to read aloud modern short stories. Time Lapse, a critically acclaimed science fiction film directed by Bradley D. King, received Panabaker the Best Actor/Actress prise at the 2014 London Independent Film Festival.
Caitlin Snow was played by Panabaker in a guest appearance on an episode of the second season of the CW show Arrow in April 2014. Since October 2014, Panabaker has played the same role on the spinoff series The Flash. With "Godspeed," the eighth episode of the fifth season of the show, Panabaker made her directorial debut.
Panabaker donates his time to a variety of charities, such as the Young Storytellers Foundation, Unicef, and Art of Elysium. As part of DC's 80th anniversary of Batman celebration, Panabaker, DC Comics co-publisher Jim Lee, author Tom King, and co-stars of the CW series Nafessa Williams and Candice Patton travelled to five American military bases in Kuwait with the United Service Organisations (USO). There, they met with the roughly 12,000 American service members stationed there.
Personal Life
In July 2016, Panabaker revealed that she was engaged to her longtime partner Hayes Robbins. On June 24, 2017, the couple were married, and they now have two children who will be born in 2020 and 2022, respectively.
