Don Mancini, the show's creator, joined series stars Jennifer Tilly and Zackary Arthur on the Empire Stage at New York Comic Con on Friday to discuss the second season of Chucky, which recently debuted on USA.
Mancini said that he had started thinking about it while he was working on another show, Hannibal, when asked if this was his dream project. I enjoy being able to accomplish everything you've described, and one of the reasons I wanted to make it for television was that, by its very nature, if you find the proper writers and filmmakers, you can elevate it.
He added, "I want to do both." "as in Marvel! But ultimately, it's up to you people, so enjoy the show."
When asked about the actors portraying teenagers on the show, Mancini responded, "The fact that they are genuinely teenagers makes the fact that they are not 30 years old, which is unusual for children on television. Because they can't work as many other people, there was some resistance to that, therefore there are some practical problems. But I was aware that you need them to portray this YA stuff well."
