Chrissy Teigen Wiki, Age, Biography, Height, Boyfriend, Family, Images, And More

Christine Diane Teigen, an American model and television personality, was born on November 30, 1985. In 2010, she made her professional modeling debut in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. In 2014, she joined Lily Aldridge and Nina Agdal on the cover of the magazine's 50th anniversary issue. She previously made an appearance on the syndicated daytime talk show FABLife as a panelist (2015–2016). In addition to being a judge on the comedy competition series Bring the Funny (2019), she co-hosted the musical competition series Lip Sync Battle with LL Cool J from 2015 to 2019. Additionally, Teigen has written three cookbooks.

Early Years

In Delta, Utah, on November 30, 1985, Christine Diane Teigen was born. Vilailuck, her mother, is from Thailand, and Ron, her father, is an American of Norwegian ancestry. Despite this, she remarked that she loves the way her surname is typically pronounced. She and her family moved to Snohomish, Washington, where her parents managed a bar, soon after she was born.

Teigen's father moved the family to Huntington Beach, California, when Teigen was 15 years old after her mother left for Thailand. She was employed at a surf shop at this time, where she met clients who helped her secure a modeling gig with Billabong and was later spotted by a photographer. Teigen spent "for four years, six months out of the year" in Miami, Florida, during the early stages of her modeling career.

Career

During the pilot and first season of the game show Deal or No Deal, Teigen acted as a briefcase model. She was dubbed "Rookie of the Year" and made an appearance in the 2010 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. Brooklyn Decker, a friend and fellow model, had referred her to the Sports Illustrated casting directors. She created and unveiled a capsule collection the following year with swimsuit designer DiNeila Brazil at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami. She also made an appearance as a featured character in the 2011 video game Need For Speed: The Run from Electronic Arts. Additionally, she appeared in the Cookies and Cocktails Cooking Channel special.

Teigen hosted the VH1 reality competition series Model Employee two years later. Additionally, she was shown in a Chrissy Teigen's Hungry Cooking Channel special that described her wedding menu tasting with her then-fiancé, John Legend. She made an appearance in Legend's music video for the song "All of Me" in October 2013, which also includes scenes from their wedding. In an Inside Amy Schumer sketch from April 2014, Teigen portrayed a fictionalized version of herself as a relationship therapist. She shared the 50th anniversary cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue with Lily Aldridge and Nina Agdal in the same year. Teigen had a special appearance in the sitcom The Mindy Project in January 2015 as the boyfriend of the main character's first sex partner. She and LL Cool J started hosting the musical competition series Lip Sync Battle together in April. Together with Ludacris, she co-hosted the 2015 Billboard Music Awards.

Teigen served as a panelist and culinary stylist for Tyra Banks' syndicated daytime talk show FABLife from September 2015 to June 2016. Cravings: Recipes for All of the Food You Want to Eat, which she released in February 2016, went on to become the second-best-selling cookbook of the year and a New York Times bestseller. Teigen collaborated with the apparel brand Revolve to launch a clothing collection the next year. She published her second book, titled Cravings: Hungry For More, in September 2018. She simultaneously launched a cookware brand through Target. She was listed among the top 100 global influencers in 2019 by Time magazine. In 2019, Teigen launched a YouTube channel. The channel features Teigen, her mother, her husband, and their two kids in family cooking instructions and videos.

Teigen made an appearance as a judge for the comedy competition program Bring the Funny the following year. She debuted Cravings by Chrissy Teigen, a food website, in November. It offers recipes as well as advice on dining out and entertaining. In April 2020, Quibi released Chrissy's Court, a courtroom-themed series starring Teigen. Teigen is the series' executive producer as well. The show moved to The Roku Channel in May 2021 and made its second season debut in June 2022 after the platform's collapse later that year. The unscripted premiere on the platform received the most viewers ever. On October 21, 2022, the third season is slated to debut.

Target has discontinued selling her cookware brand as of May 2021, according to a company spokeswoman, who said it was a "mutual decision".

Political Activism And Opinions

Teigen calls herself a feminist and plans to instill that value in her children. After the massacre at the Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood in 2015, she donated to the nonprofit organization again in 2017. In 2018, she and her husband gave $25,000 to the March for Our Lives protest against gun violence. Teigen, a proponent of immigrants' rights, spoke that same year at a Families Belong Together event in Los Angeles. She contributed $200,000 to bail and legal defense funds in May 2020 to help activists detained during demonstrations in retaliation for George Floyd's death.

Donald Trump, a former US president, is criticized harshly by Teigen. She gave $72,000 to the American Civil Liberties Union, a charity, in honor of Trump's 72nd birthday in June 2018. Teigen and Trump traded harsh tweets in September 2019. In February 2023, it was revealed at a House Oversight Committee hearing that Trump had been offended by Teigen's remarks and had asked the White House to contact Twitter to request that it remove Teigen's offensive post. Twitter declined to comply.

During the Democratic Party presidential primary elections for 2020, Teigen and her husband supported Elizabeth Warren. In the 2020 US presidential election, the pair endorsed Joe Biden.

Personal life

In December 2011, after four years of dating, Teigen announced her engagement to musician John Legend. They initially got to know one another while they were filming the music video for his song "Stereo" in 2006, in which she played his love interest. In Como, Italy, on September 14, 2013, they exchanged vows and began their new life together. She was honored in the song "All of Me" by Legend. They are Californians who live in Beverly Hills. Three children were born to Teigen and Legend: a girl in April 2016, a son in May 2018, and a daughter in January 2023.

The pair was expecting their third child in 2020, however Teigen miscarried the infant at twenty weeks owing to a pregnancy issue. In 2022, Teigen addressed the pregnancy loss, saying it was "an abortion to save my life for a baby that had absolutely no chance." The loss was initially reported by the media as a late miscarriage.

In May 2021, television personality Courtney Stodden claimed that in 2011, when she married actor Doug Hutchison while still a minor, Teigen privately messaged and tweeted them to commit suicide. Later, Teigen apologized to Stodden and said she was sad and ashamed of the "insecure, attention-seeking troll" she had once been. Stodden accepted her apologies but saw it as a last-ditch effort to keep her business relationships together. A month later, Teigen apologized once more for cyberbullying in a lengthy blog post. Following their respective outbursts about being the targets of her abuse, television personality Farrah Abraham and fashion designer Michael Costello both posted screenshots of Teigen's insulting messages. Costello responded to Teigen's claim that his screenshots were falsified by sharing screenshots of the designer's flattering messages, and the designer then claimed to have proof to back up his assertions.

Teigen celebrated a year of alcohol-free living on July 18, 2022.
