Chanel Iman Robinson (formerly Shepard), an American model who has served as a Victoria's Secret Angel, was born on December 1, 1990. She was named one of the top 30 models of the 2000s by Vogue Paris.

Early years

Iman was born in 1990 in Atlanta, Georgia. She was raised in California's Los Angeles. Her mother is Korean and African American. Her dad is of African descent.

Career

In Modeling At the age of 12, Iman began working as a child model in Los Angeles, California, for Ford Models. In 2006, she took a plane to New York and took third place in Ford's Supermodel of the World competition. She joined the company soon after that.
