The Amazon Studios Christmas picture also stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Chris "Captain America" Evans, and Kiernan "Roy" Shipka.

Directing the film is Jake Kasdan, who previously collaborated with The Rock on the "Jumanji" films; the film is based on an original story by Seven Bucks President of Production Hiram Garcia.

After a bidding war, Amazon won the rights to produce "Red One," and the film is scheduled for a 2023 holiday season release.

Lucy, who will play the villain Kalypso in the next DCEU film "Shazam! Fury of the Gods," has said that she is excited to be a part of the DCEU since she has always been a fan of the superhero genre, but she never thought she'd be able to participate in it because of her Chinese ancestry.

The 'Elementary' starlet has stated her desire to participate in a superhero film, saying, "I am a great fan of comics and of that time, which is my youth.

To be able to contribute to the advancement of diversity, women's rights, and women's empowerment by being a part of something that seemed impossible at the time is truly a dream come true. It's not just a catchphrase; it's an actual phenomenon, and to be a part of it is an incredible privilege.

Liu also shared the details of her rise to fame as a prominent Asian American actor in the Hollywood industry.

According to her, "Is it interesting?" is the overarching question in any situation. Is there a lot of difficulty involved? And as those things accumulate, you begin to develop this framework and foundation, and other people may join, so that it evolves into a city, into a state or country, and into something of which we could all be a part.
