American actress and singer Candice Accola. She is most known for playing Caroline Forbes in the supernatural drama series The Vampire Diaries on The CW, as well as for appearing repeatedly in the spin-off shows The Originals and Legacies as the same character.

Early Years

The daughter of cardiothoracic surgeon Kevin Accola and Carolyn Accola, Candice Accola was born in Houston, Texas. She went to Lake Highland Preparatory School in Orlando while growing up and is from Edgewood, Florida. She has a sibling who is younger.

Career Music

King independently released It's Always the Innocent Ones, her debut album, in the US in December 2006. 12 of the album's 14 tunes were co-written by her.[Reference needed] The remaining songs were a rendition of the popular song "Voices Carry" by 'Til Tuesday and "Our Breakup Song," a female-oriented version of American Hi-Fi's "The Breakup Song."

The album was re-released in Japan in 2008 and saw increased success. King supported Miley Cyrus on her "Best of Both Worlds" world tour. In the 2008 3D concert movie Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert, she starred as herself.

On The Vampire Diaries in February 2011, Accola sang a cover of "Eternal Flame" by The Bangles.

In several TV shows, including How I Met Your Mother, Supernatural, and Drop Dead Diva, Acting Accola made cameos. She starred in the slasher movie Deadgirl in July 2009, which is about two high school students who stumble into an immortal woman in an abandoned asylum. Candice played a little part in The Hannah Montana Movie the same year.

She was chosen to play Caroline Forbes, one of the major characters on the CW television series The Vampire Diaries, in 2009. She began appearing in the second season of the web series Dating Rules From My Future Self in June 2012 as Chloe Cunningham, a 26-year-old who doesn't think love exists. In the series, a girl receives text messages from herself 10 years in the future with dating advise. In the 2020 romantic comedy sequel After We Collided, she plays Kimberly.

Private life

Accola and Joe King, a guitarist from The Fray, began dating in February 2012 after they met at a Super Bowl party. They were welcomed by her co-star Nina Dobrev. They were engaged in May 2013 and got married in New Orleans, Louisiana, on October 18, 2014.

King gave birth to a daughter in January 2016. Accola gave birth to their second daughter in December 2020. Accola declared that she had requested a divorce in May 2022.
