Actress Brec Bassinger was born in the United States on May 25, 1999. Bassinger first gained notoriety in the recurring role of Emma in The Haunted Hathaways in the years 2013–2014. She later played the lead character of Bella Dawson in the Nickelodeon series Bella and the Bulldogs in the years 2015–2016. Bassinger started starring as Stargirl in the DC Universe and The CW television series in 2020.
Early Life
Bassinger was born in Saginaw, Texas, in his early years. While the rest of her family is still in Texas, she lives with her mother. She used to compete in track and field, basketball, and volleyball. Bassinger competed in pageants and was the winner of Our Little Miss World. Beric and Brice are the names of her two older brothers. She was a talented cheerleader before she became an actress. At the age of 8, she received a Type 1 diabetes diagnosis.
Career
In the comedic series Bella and the Bulldogs on Nickelodeon, which aired for two seasons from 2015 to 2016, Bassinger was cast in the title character in 2014. She joined the 2018 direct-to-video teen comedy film Status Update's cast in 2016. Bassinger also starred as Roni in the Hulu series All Night from Awesomeness TV in 2018. She had an appearance in the 2019 thriller 47 Meters Down: Uncaged.
In 2018, Bassinger was chosen to play Courtney Whitmore/Stargirl in the upcoming DC Universe and The CW television series Stargirl, which will debut in May 2020.
