Bella Thorne Wiki, Age, Biography, Height, Boyfriend, Family, Images, And More

Annabella Avery Thorne, an American actress, singer, and writer, was born on October 8, 1997. She first gained attention for her appearances as Ruthy Spivey in the drama series My Own Worst Enemy (2009), for which she won a Young Artist Award, and Margaux Darling in the series Dirty Sexy Money (2007–2008).

Thorne rose to fame thanks to her portrayal of CeCe Jones on the Disney Channel series Shake It Up (2010–2013), for which she was nominated for and won an Imagen Award among other honours. Since then, Thorne has acted in a number of major motion pictures, including as Blended (2014), Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip (2015), and the 2017–2020 The Babysitter movie series. Her performances in The DUFF (2015), Amityville: The Awakening (2017), and Infamous (2020) garnered positive reviews. In addition, Thorne starred in the drama series Famous in Love (2017–2018), for which she got Teen Choice Award nominations.

In addition to acting, Thorne has dabbled in music. Her 2011 debut single, "Watch Me," peaked at number 86 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Since then, she has released two more EPs: Jersey in 2014 and Made in Japan in 2012. In 2019, she made her directing debut with the adult movie Her & Him, which received mixed reviews but won her a Pornhub Visionary Award.

Early Years

Tamara Thorne and Delancey Reinaldo "Rey" Thorne's daughter Annabella Avery was born in Pembroke Pines, Florida, on October 8, 1997. She has three acting-related siblings. She has Italian ancestry in addition to her English, German, Irish, and Welsh heritage, as well as the Cuban descent of her father. In April 2007, a car accident claimed her father's life. She has stated that she was raised by a mother who was also raising four other children. She has also stated that the family was extremely impoverished, and that the reason she started acting as a youngster was to help the family.

In September 2017, Thorne disclosed that she had grown up being tormented because of her dyslexia, had lived in a suburban neighbourhood, and had Spanish as her first language. In the first grade, she received the dyslexia diagnosis. She had been bullied while attending a public school before switching to homeschooling. After attending a Sylvan Learning centre, she made academic progress and started reading and writing at a grade higher level. She claimed to have conquered her dyslexia in April 2010 by diligently reading everything she could, even the labels on cereal boxes.

Thorne claimed on Instagram in January 2018 that she had experienced physical and sexual abuse as a youngster "from the day I can remember until I was 14." She revealed to ABC News' Juju Chang in 2019 that she was six years old when the assault started. She did not give the name of the alleged abuser, instead stating that he was "someone I was raised with".

Career

Beginnings in early employment and performing from 2003 to 2009

In the 2003 movie Stuck on You, Thorne made his debut in an uncredited part as a sideline spectator. Since then, she has made appearances in films and TV shows like Entourage and The O.C. as a more youthful Taylor Townsend. She took on the role of Margaux Darling in the second season of Dirty Sexy Money in 2007. Her first significant television role is in this. The story centres on family man and attorney Nick George. After his father inexplicably perishes in a plane crash, Nick offers to take over as the Darling family's attorney while attempting to identify the murderer.

Thorne won a Young Artist Award for her portrayal of Ruthy Spivey in the 2008 drama series My Own Worst Enemy, which ran for only one season. Thorne described her casting in Enemy as a major career breakthrough because it was the first recurring role of her career. She played Angela Ferilli, the main characters' preadolescent crush, in the third-to-last episode of October Road the same year. A younger Eddie Latekka appeared as a guest star in the same episode as her older brother Remy.

She played Wendy, one of Adrian Monk's classmates, in the 2009 web series Little Monk, which featured characters from the television show Monk. She also starred as the furious antagonist in the 2009 horror flick Forget Me Not; the webisodes are only accessible on the "Best of Monk" DVD. In the 2010 premieres of the family drama Raspberry Magic at the Cinequest Film Festival and the San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival, Thorne played a supporting part.

2010–2013: Disney and music breakthrough

In Season 4 of HBO's Big Love, Thorne took Jolean Wejbe's place as Tancy "Teenie" Henrickson, Bill and Barb's younger daughter. The Disney Channel sitcom Shake It Up, which was formerly known as Dance, Dance Chicago, had Thorne as a co-star. Despite having dyslexia, Thorne played CeCe Jones, a dancer with aspirations for a prominent career. The buddy comedy programme features Thorne and Zendaya as part of a teen dance competition (in a show-within-a-show structure). The multi-camera series debuted on Disney Channel on November 7, 2010, after starting production in Hollywood, California, in July 2010. Thorne had a sizable body of film and television work, but prior to the role, she had never danced professionally. She started going to three dancing sessions every night after joining the show in October 2009.

On June 21, Thorne released his debut single, "Watch Me," which peaked at number 86 on the US Billboard Hot 100 charts, number nine on the US Top Heatseekers charts, and was awarded RIAA: Gold. On September 29, 2011, Disney Channel declared that the second season of Shake It Up would now have 26 episodes. The season two conclusion of Made In Japan, a 90-minute special episode, broadcast on August 17, 2012. Disney Channel revealed on June 4, 2012, that Shake It Up had been given a third season. Thorne played Avalon Greene in the Disney Channel Original Film Frenemies in 2012. Released on March 6, "TTYLXOX" peaked at number 97 on the US Billboard Hot 100 charts. Hollywood Records acknowledged Thorne's official signing to the label on March 30, 2013, through Twitter.

Shake It Up was cancelled after the third season on July 25, 2013, according to the Disney Channel. Thorne released her debut album, which had eleven songs, on April 23, 2013. Thorne discussed the album and said, "What fans can expect is [for it] just to be very different from anyone because I don't like to be one of those artists where you can be like, "Oh yeah, I know them from that song." All of my songs are very different from one another, so I don't want to be known as only one genre. Thorne cited Destiny's Child, Britney Spears, and Kesha as influences. Thorne reportedly got a new contract in 2013 to pen a series of books beginning with her debut book, Autumn Falls.

Mainstream cinema and television from 2014 to 2017

Thorne played the daughter of Adam Sandler's character in the 2014 comedy Blended. She also played high school foes in the movie The DUFF (2015) and Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day (2014). On July 30, Thorne was chosen to appear in a CSI: Crime Scene Investigation episode. On October 19, 2014, the programme "The Book of Shadows" broadcast. Thorne played Cammy Cahill in the follow-up to Mostly Ghostly (2008), Mostly Ghostly: Have You Met My Ghoulfriend (2014). Thorne announced the cancellation of her debut album on October 15 and expressed dissatisfaction with the "auto-tuned bad music" she had planned. On November 17, she issued an EP titled Jersey. The EP's opening track, "Call It Whatever," started at number 47 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs chart before moving up to number 10 and remaining there for a total of ten weeks. Thorne has agreed to star in the thriller Big Sky from Manis Film as Hazel, one of the leads. Thorne received a role in the MTV series Scream in 2014, which is based on the classic horror film series Scream. The series' lead part was offered to Thorne, but she declined because she thought the role of the "mean, terrible Nina" would be more recognisable.

Thorne was chosen to play the Frog Princess in the animated American dub of the movie The Frog Kingdom in 2015. Beginning on June 30, 2015, Lionsgate Home Entertainment was supposed to release the movie on DVD and on video on demand. On June 1, 2015, it was revealed that Thorne would play Kate in the AwesomenessTV movie Shovel Buddies. On October 11, 2016, the movie became available on iTunes. In the movie Keep Watching, she also portrayed Jamie, a disillusioned girl who fiercely guarded a personal secret. Additionally in 2015, she made an appearance in Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip as Ashley, a young and well-known singer.

Thorne played Rain in Tyler Perry's Boo! in 2016. A Halloween Madea. As Paige Townsen, a regular college student who gets her big break after trying out for the lead part in a Hollywood blockbuster, Thorne returned to television in 2017 with the drama series Famous in Love, which aired on Freeform. Thorne joined the cast of the dark comedy Assassination Nation in March 2017. The movie premiered in theatres on September 21, 2018. The same year, Thorne made an appearance on Prince Fox's single "Just Call" and starred in the Netflix original movie You Get Me. In October of the same year, Thorne had an appearance in the McG-directed direct-to-Netflix slasher comedy The Babysitter. In the follow-up, The Babysitter: Killer Queen, she played the same part again.

Acting projects, a music comeback, and a directing debut from 2018 to the present

In the March 23, 2018, release of the romantic drama Midnight Sun, which was based on the 2006 Japanese film of the same name, Thorne played the lead role. Along with five songs, she also contributed the lead single "Burn So Bright" and the audience favourite "Walk With Me" to the soundtrack. She made the announcement of the opening of her own record label, named Filthy Fangs, the following month at the Coachella music festival. Her record label's association with Epic/Sony was made public in August 2018, at which point she started work on her debut studio album, What Do You See Now?

The network Pornhub announced in August 2019 that Thorne would make her directorial debut there. Her & Him was shown at the Oldenburg Film Festival from September 11 to September 20, 2019. Thorne got a Vision Award for Her & Him at the second annual PornHub Awards in Los Angeles in November 2019. Thorne disclosed a collaboration with Pornhub during her victory speech in order to alter the company's algorithm for flagging content.

Thorne participated as "Swan" in The Masked Singer's third season in 2020. On her second appearance, she was disqualified. She co-starred with Jake Manley in the June 12, 2020, release of the heist thriller Infamous. Nick Allen, a critic, praised her for her performance, saying that she had "the classically great presence of someone like Sandra Bullock, but with her own scraggly edge... Thorne dominates numerous scenes that catapult her character from clout-hungry wannabe to gun-selfie superstar."

Thorne joined OnlyFans in August 2020 and made history by becoming the first user to make $1 million on the first day of using the network. Her earnings in less than a week totaled $2 million. After she advertised $200 pay-per-view photos of herself that she claimed were "naked," but were actually of her wearing lingerie, her activities on OnlyFans sparked controversy. This resulted in numerous chargebacks, new regulations that limited the amount that sex workers on the platform could charge, and decreased payouts to creators to monthly rather than weekly. OnlyFans refuted the claims that Thorne was responsible for the adjustments. Sean Baker refuted Thorne's assertion that she set up an account to conduct research for a part in a forthcoming movie in which they both star. Additionally, she stated that revenue generated by the page would go towards supporting her production company and deserving charitable organisations.

Thorne will be seen in the Chad Faust-directed thriller Girl in November 2020. Even while the film itself earned mixed reviews, critics hailed Thorne's performance as her best to date. She co-starred with Malin Akerman in the action comedy Chich Fight, which was directed by Paul Leyden, during the same month.

Thorne plays Lily in season 1 of Paradise City on Amazon Prime Video in 2021. She appeared in a number of additional films, including Time Is Up and Masquerade. In the same year, Tony Kaye's The Trainer, Janell Shirtcliff's Habit, Jordan Galland's Leave Not One Alive, starring Melissa Leo, and Janell Shirtcliff's Habit all featured Thorne in both the lead role and as an executive producer.

Writing

Thorne has a writing career in addition to being an actress and singer. Autumn Falls, the first of a trilogy of young adult novels by the author (the other two are Autumn's Kiss (2015) and Autumn's Wish (2016)), was published in 2014. It tells the story of a teenage girl who uses her diary—which may have supernatural connections—to help her through the challenges of puberty.

A book titled The Life of a Wannabe Mogul: Mental Disarray Vol. 1 was released by Rare Bird Books in July 2019. 1, a collection of Thorne's poetic autobiography.

In the media

Thorne is known for having a contentious public persona. The actress admitted that she felt constrained while working on Disney, saying, "I wish I would have been true to myself," adding, "After Disney, I had the opportunity to find my true self and that is reflected in all my work from acting, producing, directing, and writing. I have more artistic freedom to continue expressing myself."

Over 30 commercials featuring Thorne have aired, including ones for Texas Instruments and Neutrogena. She has worked with brands like Guess Jeans, Tommy Hilfiger, J.Lo Girls, Candie's, Ralph Lauren, Gap, and Diesel in her advertising campaigns. She has appeared on the covers of several magazines, including Shape, Seventeen, Teen Vogue, Latina and Gay Times, UK's Company, Marie Claire and CosmoGirl in Indonesia, Elle in Canada, and Glamour and GQ in Mexico. She has appeared in the music videos for "Bedroom Floor" by Liam Payne, "Trust Me" by Bhad Bhabie, and "Outta My Head" by Logan Paul.

Thorne is a supporter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the Humane Society, and The Nomad Organisation, which gives children in Africa access to healthcare, food, and education. She acknowledged that when she was younger, she starred in a SeaWorld commercial and joined PETA in urging people to protest and boycott the theme park.

Private Life

From November 2011 to April 2014, Thorne dated Tristan Klier, who was a student at the time. Gregg Sulkin is an English actor who she dated from 2015 to August 2016. She came out as bisexual soon after the breakup. She briefly dated the emo rapper Lil Peep in 2017 and began dating the artist Blackbear in August of the same year. She dated the media personality Tana Mongeau from September 2017 to February 2019 and the artist Mod Sun from April 2019 to April 2020 in a polyamorous relationship. She dated Italian musician Benjamin Mascolo from April 2019 to 2022; the two announced their engagement in March 2021. The couple did, however, formally announce their separation in 2022.

Thorne declared that she identifies as pansexual in July 2019.

Thorne had nude photos taken in June 2019 by hackers who then threatened to extort her; she decided to disclose the images herself. She addressed the subject of pornographic deepfakes later that year.

Thorne admitted that she has always loved the horror genre in a 2021 interview with Bloody Disgusting.
